I washed my clothes in a public laundry and when I brought them home I found that a piece of underwear belonging to a female was in with them ( this obviously was not mine). It must have been in the drum and I mustn't have checked it throughly. I washed my underwear and bedsheets in this wash at 40 degrees. Do you think I could catch crabs or herpes from the underwear if the person was infected. I only did a 40 degree wash- I think most bacteria are denatured at 60 degrees.

I'm afraid I have oral herpes, but the bumps aren't exactly what I've read described.

Yet, I don't want to falsely comfort myself. What other possibilities are there? Bumps on the lips usually mean only one thing, right?

I haven't did it with a girl or kissed or anything since the end of August, yet these are just showing up.

How long did it take for those who have had an abnormal pap to hear back from their doctor after their appointment? I am not talking about those who had a normal pap and had something in the mail sent to them after weeks. Please only those with abnormal paps or those who know how long it takes to hear back from the doctor after an appointment.

Why is a cold sore on the genitals something that ruins your life?
Don't anyone try to tell me that they are different. Because they are not. Both HSV1 and HSV2 can be in either the mouth, genitals, fingers, or eyes. If you don't know this, then look it up. It is true.
So... why the stigma? Most genital herpes cases are caught from oral sex, usually man to woman.
So, why the stigma? Why is a genital cold sore a "life ruining" event? I just don't get it.

I was diagnosed with HPV-the type that can become cervical cancer. I had my precancer cut out but what about if you get pregnant? Can you pass this on to your child if you don't have a C-section? Also I have heard that this can also cause anal cancer and vocal cord cancer. Has anyone heard this or have any more information on this?

This is a very curious question. well im 19 years old and i was a virgin until about a 6 months ago. I have been with my bf for about a year and a half. i went and got a pap smear and the doctor told me i might have hpv. she did more test and it turns out i have a high risk type and i going to have that one procedure done(i forgot the name sorry). and im just so scared, ive never had health issues before and I cant beleive this happened to me. i used to say that only sluts got stds but now i feel so devestated. has anyone else gone through this? and i just cant help but be mad at my bf. i love him with all my heart but i just think its his fault although i may be wrong. i did everything right, i used birth control and i have only had sex with him. I am right to be mad at him? he feels really bad but im just really scared, any advice? thank you sooo much!!

Is there a such thing as a Herpes Test? My doctor said that there isn't. My girlfriend who lives out of town said she had a Herpes test & she has Type 2. I wanted to go get tested in that case & my doctor of internal medicine is saying there is not any such test. My girlfriend said that she had the Western Blot Test and my doctor said it is an Aids test. Is that true and do they really not have a Herpes Test?

I was recently treated for chlamydia, and when I was checked for it again, it was still there. It came as a shock to me in the first place, but surprised me even more I still had it. I haven't had any sexual contact in over 2 months, and defientely not since I first learned I had it. I had a pap test last tuesday night which was my first ever so i'm a little paranoid. Well today will be exactly a week and I'm wondering if you think they would have called me by now if something is wrong. I know they call if somethings wrong because I had to sign a paper that they can leave a message if noone answers. I am afraid that my boyfriend has given me HPV...or some type of STD. He has had 10 partners in his lifetime which I consider to be a lot and I am pretty sure he has not used protection with all of them.
