Yes, Planned Parenthood can give you a prescription for medication to help you get rid of genital warts.

People get prescription from them all the time for birth control, medications for STDs, etc.

Just ask them and I'm sure they would be willing to help you out! Good luck!

I'm not sure if they can treat std's like genital warts, but they gave me a prescription for the morning after pill...So I would imagine they could do the same for other medicines.

Very often, genital warts fade away by themselves. But sometimes they need to be removed. Warts can be removed with various treatments. There are several chemicals that can be applied directly to genital warts:

podofilox
imiquimod
podophyllin
trichloroacetic acid (TCA)
biochlroacetic acid (BCA)

Podofilox and imiquimod are prescribed for use at home. A clinician applies other treatments, such as podophyllin, TCA, and BCA. Some treatments can cause discomfort. And some cannot be used during pregnancy.

Genital warts also may be removed with cryotherapy (frozen off). They may be electrocauterized (burned off). Or they may be removed with surgery or with lasers. Less commonly, they are treated with injections of interferon or 5-fluorouracil/epinephrine.

Most people are cleared of warts by the first series of treatments. Warts recur for some people, however, during several months after treatment — especially if they smoke cigarettes. And some people continue to have recurrences after long periods of time.

Planned parenthood is a free clinic, but unfortunately there is no pill cure for HPV. You will need the warts removed with a lazer, and that does not gaurentee they are completely gone. For some women, they disapear within a year and never come back. But if you are concerned I would go, they'll be able to get you more information. And it's completely confidential.

Warts is a big deal. It can cause cancer and make you sterile. They don't go away with medicine. You have to get them burned or frozen off. They will most likely come back. They can be very painful and your parents need to know what is going on with you. It's worth it to make sure you get the proper care.

Yes, you can go to planned parenthood and get tested. They can also perscribe the needed medication for you there also.
Its usually cheaper there also, if not free, because they run off of donations. Just be sure to donate as well if you can. :D

Yes they will help you... If you think you have herpes sores, see a clinician as soon as possible. It's important to be sure that the sores are herpes. Other serious sexually transmitted infections, like syphilis, may look like herpes but need different treatment.
