They aren't really called "side affects", like something you would get from taking medication.
HPV can cause different kinds of cancers or warts though. HPV is responsible for virtually all cases of cervical cancer and is responsible for ALL warts including warts on the hands, feet, elbows, knees, genital area, etc. It's also responsible for other kinds of cancers like penile cancer, anal cancer, and other RARE kinds of cancers.

If you mean the infection with HPV, most people with the infection don't have any symptoms. If you have a skin infection with HPV you can have what we call genital warts. These are small bumps on the skin that may look like small cauliflowers. If you mean side effects to the vaccine, they are minor and often you will have just a sore arm for a few hours or the day after receiving the vaccine.

HPV can cause abnormalities on the cervix as in dysplasia or pre-cancer cells. Just see a Gynecologist yearly and you'll be okay...... I've got it so I know.....I've had 4 surgeries, but I'm fine

Generally the STD does not have side effects. However, medications often do have side effects.
