symptoms can be dormant for that long or longer. do not assume that he/she cheated on you until you read more about herpes. its very possible you or he got it a long time ago from a different partner, and it didn't transfer until recently, or it transfered a while back and just didn't show symptoms until now.
You really can't conclude much of anything about this unless you both already had a clean test for herpes after you became exclusive past the incubation period.
Herpes often does not exhibit symptoms for long periods of time.

I got identified with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 7 years ago, while I was still in college and had a stupid one-night stand. I realize a lot of girls will say this, but I swear I had certainly not done that sort of thing before. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with a girl that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video https://tr.im/a1VyM everything got better.
Not only was I able to eradicate all remnants of the herpes simplex virus from my body in less than three weeks, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so lucky to write that just last week, in front of everyone in a busy cafe, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This system provided the chance to be happy and experience true love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

Genital herpes can be contracted by having sex (vaginal, oral, or anal) with a person who has the virus. It can also be contracted from having any kind of DIRECT skin to skin contact with the infected area of someone who has it.
It can take several months and even years for symptoms of genital herpes to show up once a person has been infected with the virus. But, it's also possible that someone was cheating.
Take care!

I had herpes around four years ago, when I was still in college and had a stupid one night stand. I think a lot of girls will say this but I swear I never did that sort of thing. I jud made mistake that one time and, suddenly, it looked like I was going to have to live with it for the rest of my life. The awful part was feeling I would never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with a woman who has sores around her you-know-what? But after a friend showed me this video https://tr.im/bUscv everything has changed. Not only was I able to remove all traces of the herpes virus from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met my soulmate and I'm so happy to say that just last week, in front of many people in a restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This program gave me the chance to be happy again, and to experience true love.

HSV type 2 causes sores in the genital area (genital herpes), such as on or around the vagina or penis. HSV-2 also causes the herpes infection seen in babies who are delivered vaginally in women who have genital herpes. HSV-2 is generally spread by sexual contact. HSV-2 can sometimes cause mouth sores. In rare cases, HSV can infect other parts of the body, such as the eyes and the brain.

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2. I have been with the same man for the past 10 years and within the last year found out that he has cheated on me with numerous women. I am so scared that I can give it to my children by kissing them and them eating with me...I feel like my whole life has changed. And even though the nurses, my doctor, and websites say that a lot of people have it I still feel like I am by myself. My self esteem has dropped and I feel like I have been used up. But now, My life is very happy.

Herpes is spread usually thru sex. Oral, anal and regular. I do know some who have passed off cold sores to people thru kissing. You can get herpes and be a carrier for a long time before signs start showing. They have some good meds out there now for it to reduce out breaks. Also try to avoid stress.
