My ex-husband app. 3 years ago was running around on me. I have always been afraid he had contracted AIDS. He did bring home another disease. I have since re-married and had two babies, both times I was tested and I was negative. My question is, how long can you go testing negative if you have HIV or AIDS. I mean is there a dormant period? Would it have shown up by now if I had it? Please no rude answers and thank you for your input.

Where we live, your 12+ older child(ren) can go to the clinic and get medical help without your permission. The doctor/nurse can prescribe medication without your persmission. However, if it is a serious problem, meaning medication is expensive, they want u to use YOUR medical insurance to take care of the problem, BUT u will not be told the reason why, without your child's permission, because it's Michigan's law. Now I know my child recieve a phone call while in school, from the nurse at the local clinic, she called in the script, but need my medical card to get medication filled. I know my child got an STD by reading child's email to cousin. What std was the azithromycin prescribed for is my question.

I have a couple bumps one only one of my fingers Ive checked the rest of my body and I found nothing else, I want to say its acne related or something, because Ive had serious acne problems.

The reason I think it may not be an STD is cause the bump has been on my finger for a very long time, and never has it hurt or caused any pain.

Is it possible herpes never cause pain at all?

Is there any other way to acquire HPV, other than sexual transmision, or sexual contact (skin to skin contact)??? Ex using the towel of another person, etc etc.

I never had contact with another person in the genital area and I'm a virgin, but the gynecologist thinks that I have hpv, and I forgot to ask her how can I acquire it.

I was using this machine that measures your breathing rate - it records it automatically while you breathe (forgot what it was called but whatever). You have to put the pipe all the way into your mouth and I was the last one to use it. The pipe thing was sterilized in a liquid for 1 minute before I used it(the teacher just left it in the liquid). When I put the pipe into my mouth the sterilizing liquid on the pipe got into my mouth too. It tasted rank so I drank some fruit shoot to get rid of it. How long does it take for a sterilzing liquid to kill hiv? and by drinking the sterilizing liquid away does it do anything (the sterilizing liquid won't continue to kill the virus in my mouth anymore if it is gone?)?

I know they are stupid questions but just answer them anyway if you can.

I have asked in different ways. Still not clear. I wonder if you can have PID and/or STD that is completely silent, no syptoms? How do you get diagnosed with PID if it is silent. I voiced my concerns at gyn exam and was brushed off. She said I would know if I had it cause it's very painful. I have heard otherwise. Can I demand treatment for PID even with out syptoms. MY concerns are because I had unprotected sex, and abortion at 17 , now 30, afraid I am sterile from PID or abortion.

this is a very specific question. i am not asking are they more likely to get aids because of there sexuality. i am simply asking do they have aids more than striaght people. so this could be answered like this. this is only an example

50 percent of gay population has aids
10 percent of general u.s population has aids
therefore gay population has a higher rate of hiv infected people

any reliable sources that i amy look up myself would also be apprecciated. thank you in advance

From what I've been reading about Herpes 2, you have breakouts usually recurrent in the place you contracted the virus. Also, it says Herpes 2 usually stays in the genital area. So, if you have oral sex, with someone with herpes 2, will you contract it in the mouth? Will it then go to the genitals, because it says usually you will have a breakout where it is contracted? Also, from what I'm reading herpes 2 will not give someone Herpes 1, but Herpes 1 will give Herpes 2. So, confusing! So, basicully to narrow it down will someone get infected with herpes 2 by giving someone else infected oral sex?

I had a leep procedure a few months ago to remove abnormal cells. My gyno says it was not HPV because the paps and the coloscopy did not show up with HPV. Of course as a female you always think the worst, so I still worry it could be HPV and just not showing up.

Since I had the leep procedure, I should be clear of any abnormal cells. Has anyone been in the same situation as myself? I want to get the HPV vaccine, but I am not sure if it is safe. I will talk to my gyno, but I would like to see if there are any females who have been thru the same thing and can give me advice. Thank you!

I know that you can catch hiv from unprotected sex, and blood transfusions, but is there any other way that you can contract it? Like for example is someone that has hiv uses something like lotion or some type of skin therapy on their body and then you use it, can you contract it? Or better yet how easy is it to contract this virus? And is it a rare virus?
