on Jan.12 went to the doctor and fine out i'm pregnant so i had to take all these test for STDs and other things iwas told everything was okay on feb.02 i went to the ER i had more test done everything was fine on Feb.08 i went for a check up i had the same test repeated and now today my doctor calls to say that i have chlamydia however my boyfriend and i have not been together in about 3weeks i really dont know what is going on is their any way i can have an yeast infection and they think it chlamydia yeast infection are more common in pregnancy my aunt said that happen to her when she was pregnant please help me cause is it just me or do not make snice to yall also....thank you for you time!!!!!!!!!

if the doc just done a pap and looked at the slide yes it is possible to confuse the two. BUT if the actual std test was done then you probably do have chlamydia.

The incubation period for chlamydia can be up to 6 weeks, therefore it would not show up on a test.This may be a reason as to way previous tests were negative.If you are not satisfied with your diagnosis you should talk to your doctor.

Yeast and chlamydia would never be confused by a competent lab technician. A yeast infection is a fungus, while chlamydia is a bacteria, and both are very distinguishable from each other in lab tests.
