If you were tested you were tested for the virus that causes aids, so if it were negative it is negative now also. The virus shows up way before full blown AIDs does. You are worrying for nothing I think. But, to put your mind at ease because I know how that feels go to the local health Dept and get tested again. Then you wil know for sure without a doubt. That is my advice and it will make you feel better. Also, ask them to keep it confidential, they will use a number and not your name. Good luck. If you need to, go out of town, to the next county for the test.

It has been known for people to go 10 years or longer before showing positive for HIV infection. Your best bet is to get tested every 6 months or yearly. Your doctor can give you information on how long it can take before showing up and an in depth schedule of when to get tested. It is your health dont let it sit on the back burner, speak up and find out.

Three years is actually plenty of time. Cases having stayed dormant in Women (especially) longer than this are EXTREMELY rare. There is a dormacy period that can be 3-6 months. Despite this, I encourage you to continue to be checked for all std's on a regular basis. No matter how much anyone trusts their partner, I always say trust but verify. It's better than just putting your life in someone elses hands. Congrdulations on your family and I wish you great luck in your future with your husband!! (had to say that so my answer didn't sound SO morbid)

AIDS would have 100% showed by now. HIV is a different case it starts real slow. It targets your immune system, to be specific your white blood cells to be even more specific would be when your lymphocytes. Your lymphocytes fights viruses. Usually doctors will count your white blood cells and then the would count each type of your white blood cells if your lymphocyte count is high it mean you have a viruse, then they would check you for all kinds of viruses. But I hope you don't have. Some symptoms would be muscle fatigue, feeling tired all the time dry mouth, feeling sick all the time.

HIV shows up in most cases in 25 days after exposure but could take up to 90 days. If you were tested during your pregnancies then u are fine.
