I masturbated rigorously the night prior without lube...and I went to sleep...well I wake up in the morning and I have this small patch of redness on the shaft of my penis accompanied with a small red spot.....I stretch the skin of the shaft and it seems as if its a small abrasion or cut on the shaft surrounded by dry white flakey skin....also the head of my penis was extremely flakey which I think is part of masturbation. Anyways that was Wednesday..come Friday the "cut" fully healed and a scab fell off the cut ...leaving no marks..it never hurt...was never sore...is this an atypical herpes outbreak? perhaps an irritation? i'm a bit concerned......just a side note....this cut was size of a pinhead..very tiny.....Please offer advice? :(

Hi, i think i have genital warts, however i have never had sex or anything related to it. i did have a wart on my foot which i kept plastered all the time with a cream and a plaster, the only times i touched it was to apply a cream or plaster, i washed my hands afterwards, and especialy before i needed the loo or what not. i found a raises lump which ipicked and seemed t have a black thing in. could this have been from where a hair was growing?

please i am extremely worried.

What would you suggest to do in this scenario..You just found out that your teenager has chlamydia even though you have been through the "talks" and have given as much information, warnings,etc..about STD's to this child beforehand. The first instinct is great anger! But there has to be a better way to deal.

I had sex with a good friend of mine twice, both times I had a lot of vaginal bleeding/broken vaginal tissue because we had really really rough sex. I have sinced stopped because I started worrying about hiv. He is married for 5 years now and I know his wife and son is hiv negative. What are my chances of getting hiv from this guy? I went for an HIV test yesterday - I have to wait 3 weeks for the results. Four years ago, I was 17, I stupidly slept with a friend, two/three times, who injected heroin with his brother and his brothers girlfriend. She (the pleasant woman that she is - ugh!) had an abortion and got tested for HIV, she was negative, or so I hear. That was about a year or two previously.

So my question is: what are the chances of me having it?? :(

Is that true that 1 0f 5 people have herpes in America? Almost 50 milions people. Wooww..
i mean, if yes, of course it is a Disaster! but why people not afraid to have sex again, especially with someone they didn't know.

How would you handle dating if you have an std? If you were born in the 60s and 70s, it is most likely you've gotten you groove on a few times without protection or maybe not. Many people because they do not have symptoms may not know if they have it or not. For those who are certain because of blood testing, would you date someone if you did not have and STD? Would you have sex today without a condom? Many people still do and many people have secrets they will take to the grave. Many people are afraid of rejection and embarrasement. I have been concerned about this due to one occasion with a woman from a country where it's more common. I don't even know if she is or not, but worried. I read on a web-site that it is 1 in 200,000.

I understand that AIDs can only be accurately tested after 6 months, although some as early as 25 days after infection. If the infection level is too low to be detected, can it still be spread as easily during the first few months?

I've been to doctors and clinics, and i've done all sexually transmitted deseases test from sti's to HIV but they all came back negetive. I just have this feeling that my virgina have a funny smell but wen i ask people and doctors they seen to be hearing no smell. What can I use to feel better?

So I was wondering what everyone thinks.....In July had unprotected sex then had full STD screen in August. When I had a sever yeast infection. This yeast infection would not go away I went to 4 different doctor who all said it was not an STD but a yeast infection but I was still hung up on the fact that Herpes is oftern misdiagnosed as yeast infection. During the treatment I had an allergic reaction to Miconazol the stuff in Monstats which made the situation worse. I then got a blood test which came back as negative for herpes. I recently had sex again with my BF and we used a condom well within about 5 days I was experiencing these yeast infection symptoms again. I was wondering if I could be allergic to the condoms or if this is just simply yeast? If anyone has had a similar story please share! Thanks!!

I am mortified i just found out today i have herpes! not a happy camper but now i must deal with this. i plan on having another child in the near future... what are the chances of me spreading this to my baby? can my baby still get it if i have a c-section?? I'm really worried becasye last night my partner and I made sexual contact.. but we lost our condom so he used a little sandwich baggy and a elastic.. at first for like 1 a minuet we did it then we took it off. then put it back on again and carried on.. but he cant remeber if he put the bag on inside out, and then he was worrying about if he cumed... if he cumed in the bag and then somehow put the bag on inside out... could I be pregnant? how would I know?
