Did you know that hpv is the most common std in the US. Hpv is the leading cause of cervical cancer in woman. Most people who have hpv don't no they have it. Most of the time there are no symptoms. In woman you may or may not have symptoms depending on which type of the virus you have. There a high risk and low risk types of the virus. If you have High risk you are at high risk for cervical cancer. If you have low risk hpv you could develop genital warts but not always. In men there are usually no symptoms or detection. Only way of actually knowins a male has the virus is if they have a genital wart or if a previous sexual partner tells him she or he has the virus. I encourage all females to get the pap tests and keep them up to date. Dont hesitate remember a female can prevent cervical cancer by getting the regual pap screenings. There is currently a vaccine which can help prevent the certain high risks of hpv that may develop cervical cancer. PLEASE GIRLS GET UR PAPS

I'm trying to figure out if herpes could be passed by the cook in a restaurant? More specificly a fast food restaurant. I eat at them almost everyday a was curious if maybe the cook who prepars the item has herpes and accidently spit as he were talking or touched his mouth and then touched your food. Would that be a likely case to spread the herpes virus. or what about if someone who sat at a table before you had herpes and then ate with a fork and the waiter put the fork back on the table without it being competley washed, then you used that fork. Is it possible to get it now? Maybe I am just being a hypercondriact, but i eat out a lot and find myself wondering if diseases like herpes or any std could be spread through the food.. thanks...

I've masturbated rigorously the night prior..i usually clean off and go to bed, but i was too lazy after ejaculating and fell asleep. Onto the next morning I used the bathroom and noticed a red patch of skin on the shaft of my penis with a small red bump.....surrounding the red bump was dry skin peeling off...I scratched at the bump and it now formed into an open cut....very very tiny open cut.....and its red right now........what the hell is this? herpes? irritation from masturbating?

The average number of sex partners for people in the United States is ten according to a number of polls I have read. I don't think the number is accurate. Are you above or below this figure? And do you think only having 1 partner by the age of 24 is fairly low?

I heard that if you take an HIV test and ,for example, you had a sexual relation one week before it might not show you the real result(because the HIV virus can "hide" for up to 6 months).I read that nowadays there are some advanced tests that can show you if you've been infected or not even if you had sex days before the test.Is that true?Do you know a place where I can do that in California or Illinois?

HIV (Human Immune Deficiency) is a virus that spreads mainly by indulging in unsafe sexual activities. The disease proves to be ultimately fatal and the best way to fight it is to prevent it by practising safe sex. Lack of sex education in our country attributes to the spread of this dreaded disease.
