I've masturbated rigorously the night prior..i usually clean off and go to bed, but i was too lazy after ejaculating and fell asleep. Onto the next morning I used the bathroom and noticed a red patch of skin on the shaft of my penis with a small red bump.....surrounding the red bump was dry skin peeling off...I scratched at the bump and it now formed into an open cut....very very tiny open cut.....and its red right now........what the hell is this? herpes? irritation from masturbating?

It could be either. If it is herpes, you will likely get more lesions, and they will be quite painful. If it is simply irritation (how hard did you scratch at it?), it will heal up in a day or so and be gone. If you are worried it might be herpes (whether you feel you've had an exposure or not) and you see no resolution in a day or so, or it gets worse, you'll need to see a Doctor. He can prescribe Valtrex which will shorten the course of the outbreak and the severity of it. Herpes often presents with other symptoms...1)swollen painful lymph nodes in your groin (sore lumps under the skin where your legs meet your pubic hair). 2) A general feeling of malaise- you feel like crap, you're tired, achy all over, and you have a headache. You will know in a day or so...there is a possibility that this is not your first herpes outbreak if that's what it is. Although typically a first outbreak is extremely significant (it hurts, it's itchy, and you notice it) you can sometimes have the herpes sores present themselves and because it isn't mindbogglingly horrible, you dismiss them as nothing. And if you are healthy, you may have a minimal number of recurrences. What I'm saying is- you could already have it and have had it for a while and not know it. Thousands of people carry it and have no idea. My advise is to wait a day or so, see if it gets better or worse, and if it doesn't heal or gets worse, see a doctor. He can swab the lesion and tell you if it's herpes. Regardless, avoid sex with another person until you are healed. Your skin is broken and it leaves you very open to infection. Plus if it is herpes, you can spread it. (Actually you can spread it whether you have a sore or not, but if you do have a sore, the virus is definitely present). Good luck

I don't know what that would be but if it gets worse go see a doctor but it doesn't sound like herpes.
