Herpe question?

Question

I first started itching in my private area and it has few small bumps outside and inside of the vagina area. and then when i shaved...it started burning and itching....it usually hurt the most when im about to start my period...i dont know if it is herpes...my spouse and i never had sexual contact with anyone else...even before our relationship...so its hard to tell if it can be herpes...anyone know what it could be?? thanks

You would know if it is herpes, because the beginning symptoms are like a yeast infection (in women). Then you have pain and burning when you urinate. And then comes the blisters, which kind of look like a large zit w/a white head. When those burst, they are the blisters that are very contagious.

Do not wait when your vaginal area is itchy and has red bumps. You should go to your doctor's for a more accurate diagnosis.

If neither you or your husband haven't had sex with any other partners, and you both haven't been diagnosed with Herpes, then how would you have contracted it? Do you have other people you know with Herpes??

Your best bet, go see your doctor, and do not wait.

It sounds like it could be herpes. You need to have it swabbed and tested to be sure. Even if you and your husband have not had ANY sexual contact with anyone else, ever- it could still be herpes. Your husband may have had oral herpes when he was a kid (cold sores on his mouth). He may not even remember having them- but if he did, that virus is still alive in his body. He can give it to you by oral to genital contact, even if he doesn't have a visible cold sore. They say it is also possible to contract herpes from a tanning bed, or a damp towel- this is pretty rare though. It is generally spread by sexual contact. Has this been happening often and for how long? If it is something that keeps reoccuring, you might want to see a doctor to have it diagnosed. If it is herpes, it won't change your sex life with your husband. He will have been exposed by now and has or hasn't already gotten it. There is a good chance he infected you by not knowing he had oral herpes. But if it is herpes, you will want to avoid sex while the sores are there. One, because it hurts, and two because the virus is present and active. Good luck

I wouldn't know from my own experience, but I've read from many sources that it may be an infection that has laid dormant in your body for a long time,but that may not be in your case because you say that you and your husband have never had any relationships before you have been together. Times such as stress and/or an illness can make you have a breakout. I read somewhere that many women will have a breakout shortly before getting a period. It has something to do with the hormones. Do you get an achey almost flu-like feeling? Do you have a low grade feeling or swollen lymph nodes? These are good tell-tale factors that there is something viral going on down there

almost everyone is exposed to herpes simplex type I (commonly called cold sores) by the age of 12.....not everybody gets it, but some do and can pass it on by kissing or oral sex....bumps inside your vagina that appear when menstruating, or when you are under stress could be herpes....

Go see your doc, cause it does sound like you have herpes. you may have herpe1 (simplex)
