Do you think it's right to be giving 9-13 yearold girls STI vaccinations?

I have never really thought about it before, but I say, why not?
It's inevitable that teens (although, not all) are going to have sex. I'm sure that's hard for alot of parents to accept, and I'm sure it is probably uncomfortable for them to take their child to the doctor to receive an STI shot..... but I feel that it could be a good idea. I am not sure exactly how long the vaccination lasts, and forgive me, I don't actually know too much about HPV or vaccinations, but I looked it up and the what I found was the vaccine is expected to last a minimum of 4.5 years.
If the vaccination is affordable, I see no difference in that and all the other vaccinations we are supposed to get throughout our life, and especially since it seems like a teenager is more likely to get HPV than Tetnus, for example. I mean, if a STI can be prevented by something as simple as a vaccination, I think that's awesome.
Not sure if I was much help, but that's my opinion. :)

No I do not believe that there should be a requirement for any vaccinations for HPV for two reasons. First that abstention or utilizing a condom is far better protection. Secondly all vaccinations have detrimental constituents which can produce problems as bad or worse than the original disease.

For those who want to assure you that side-effects of immunizations are insignificant or non-existent I have much scientific literature showing that it is a significant problem. I am talking about Peer-reviewed journals using placebo-controlled, double-blind studies. Journals such as JAMA, New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Neurology, etc. If you are interested I can post the citations or even send the abstracts. There are numerous examples, but one such study shows the link between Hepatitis B vaccines and MS, in NEUROLOGY 2004;63:838-842, is but one example.

There is kind of a lunacy that we have regarding immunizations. If we disregard the detrimental ingredients in vaccines (ammonium sulfate, aluminum, mercury, formaldehyde, polysorbate 80, glutaraldehyde, phenol/phenoxyethanol to name a few), we are still left with the dilemma of injecting the bacterial/viral contents (even if "weakened") into the body. The average adult's blodd volume is 5 Liters and the resting heartrate is 75 beats per minute (with average70 ml stroke volume) which means that this 5 L of blood through the heart in about a minute...which means this vaccine and all the other "ingredients" in the vaccine are spread to organs and tissues that would never have come into contact with these various agents. Therefore the stomach, intestines, pancreas, brain, joints, all all other parts of the body served by the vascular system have these agents introduced, with often disastrous consequences...some immediate and some very slow.

Since it is our immune systems job to protect from pathogens, it behooves us to do things that fortify this system rather than place our hopes on a silver bullet approach from the pharmaceutical corporations, whose primary interest is profit. The best preventions are those we learn and utilize at home, eat unprocessed foods, exercise regularly, wash hands when appropriate, deal effectively with stress, and when necessary rely first on supplements that are whole-food sourced which give good bioavailability (that is absorption). These things will go further to prevent disease and keep you healthy than all the shots and drugs on the planet. We must remember that health is a proactive state, that is we cannot get healthy from taking drugs, While they may be necessary in some cases, they are not the answer for staying healthy.

Children are having sex, much of it unplanned and unprotected, at younger and younger ages (whatever the law may say about age of consent). It is therefore highly desirable that they be protected as much as possible against the risk of STIs.

HPV vaccination provides a significant degree of protection to girls, even though it only protects against 3 strains of HPV.

There is less evidence that it is really useful for boys. Indeed it is much cheaper and more effective to circumcise them and gives them protection against ALL strains of HPV as well as several other STIs including HIV/AIDS. Protecting boys this way also protects their female partners since a protected boy cannot pass on the disease.

The vaccine should be freely offered to all children on reaching secondary school age, but vaccination should be voluntary at parental choice.

a lot of unfavorable aspects contain this vaccine, attainable factor outcomes, etc. There have not been adequate long term study completed on it in any respect. i've got not got self belief that any individual could ever be compelled to take an vaccine, it would be a parental selection. My daughter is 14 and if she chooses to have it i visit help that yet whilst she needs to attend till later in her existence, so be it. coverage does not conceal this vaccine. that's finished in 3 doses months aside and would fee over $3 hundred! that's misguided for all people to make this a regulation or require it of our little ones. i comprehend they are attempting to make it required in Texas amazing now and a lot of folk are struggling with it.

Well I heard they are recalling the vaccincations for some reason, maybe side effects I supposed. Then, I heard it doesnt work for certain strands. Of course its right. I mean come on now, this is the REAL world with some REAL nastiness hard *** diseases out here that can kill you. You think young women arent going to find out anyway, I think not. The vaccination is NOT the problem, its parenting. If you think your child will be promiscous due to these vaccinations, it will not be a vaccinations fault, but the parents. I tell ya, things are out here to help and people still shoot them down...

NOT at all!

The vaccines were rushed through the testing process, (much of the testing process was by-passed completely) there is no way to know the long term effects. There is no way to know what this does to children, or pre-pubescent children. Any testing that has been done to date has only been done on adults.

All drugs by definition are toxic. They rushed through HPV vaccine is nothing more than a scam to make Merck a ton of money. They will make literally billions of dollars on this one.

3,000 women die annually from cervical cancer, easily treatable with early detection.

Merck's mandate is to make drugs as common and accesible as Wrigley's gum and turn even healthy people into patients.

actually yes i do. the age where children are starting to have sex is becoming lower and lower i know of 3 13 year olds who are pregnant and many other younger kids who are sexually active and teaching abstanance is not working and i think that with hpv being so serious and dangerous and since children are so uneducated about sex that they should be given the vaccine. it helps against cancer and so i think parents need to stop being blind and realize hey there are kids having sex and maybe we should open our eyes and realize it instead of choosing not to believe it and that only certain types of kids are only do it cuz who knows it could be their kid and by tht time they turn 18 and get their first pap then it is too late to do anyhting about it.

i have attended a lot of seminars, read counless books on forex trading and it all cost me thousands of dollars. the worst thing was i blew up my first account. after that i opened another account and the same thing happened again. i started to wonder why i couldn,t make any money in forex trading. at first i thought i knew everything about trading. finally i found that the main problem i have was i did not have the right mental in trading. as we know that psychology has great impact on our trading result. apart from psychology issue, there is another problem that we have to address. they are money management, market analysis, and entry/exit rules. to me money management is important in trading. i opened another account and start to trade profitably after i learnt from my past mistake. i don't trade emotionally anymore.
if you are serious about trading you need to address your weakness and try to fix it. no forex guru can make you Professional trader unless you want to learn from your mistake.
