I read different answers,but can not tell who is right.
To be more clear: If infected blood is still wet & on an object, would it still have the live virus ? Some say minutes & some say hours ,so i have no idea who is right.
Please answer if u know !

It is my understanding that HIV dies when it hits oxygen.

HIV dies within minutes of leaving the human body, however Hepatitis does remain alive and active for a while, and caution with handling any thing that has blood or other bodily fluids on it or in it, is highly recommended.

I don't know exactly how long the HIV virus would remain alive when in a situation like that one you said above, but i do know that the HIV virus is very, very fragile.

I am pretty sure it is only a matter of minutes, at the most about 5. Certainly not hours, even if it is still wet.
