I have a couple bumps one only one of my fingers Ive checked the rest of my body and I found nothing else, I want to say its acne related or something, because Ive had serious acne problems.

The reason I think it may not be an STD is cause the bump has been on my finger for a very long time, and never has it hurt or caused any pain.

Is it possible herpes never cause pain at all?

It is most likely not anything like herpes. It is probably a skin tag or a wart or something. You can buy the kit at the pharmacy to burn a wart off, with silver nitrate, they use it in Dr. offices. You can do that. You can also try this. Put Duct tape on it, just enough to cover it and leave it on as long as possible. then replace it when needed. there is something in the glue and the deprivation of air that causes a lot of these skin things to just stop growing and die. Really. My sister did it and it worked for a wart. Otherwise I would not have believed it. Make sure it's the real tape, not a generic.

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2. I have been with the same man for the past 10 years and within the last year found out that he has cheated on me with numerous women. I am so scared that I can give it to my children by kissing them and them eating with me...I feel like my whole life has changed. And even though the nurses, my doctor, and websites say that a lot of people have it I still feel like I am by myself. My self esteem has dropped and I feel like I have been used up. But now, My life is very happy.

NO, that is not possible, unless you happen to detect it before the sores. The sores are just that, the sores! They hurt so, very, very much.

Go have your finger checked out. I doubt it's Herpes, maybe it's a wart, or zit. Best bet is to get it checked out.

As a healthcare provider I am pleased that you are concerned about your body. Yes, genital herpes is very painful. Additionally, I have never seen genital herpes on a finger....and I doubt its acne. If you are concerned about sexually transmitted diseases, continue to educate youself about them....and protect yourself.
