this is a very specific question. i am not asking are they more likely to get aids because of there sexuality. i am simply asking do they have aids more than striaght people. so this could be answered like this. this is only an example

50 percent of gay population has aids
10 percent of general u.s population has aids
therefore gay population has a higher rate of hiv infected people

any reliable sources that i amy look up myself would also be apprecciated. thank you in advance

Wow, not many people have answered this question. Well, here's what I found:

-Almost 60% of men diagnosed with HIV/AIDS in the USA were probably exposed to the virus through male-to-male sexual contact.
-75% of all women who get HIV/AIDS in the U.S. are heterosexual and got it from men.
-An estimated one million people are currently living with HIV in the United States, with approximately 40,000 new infections occurring each year.
-70 percent of these new infections occur in men and 30 percent occur in women.

Those are the statistics that I found. But, I read somewhere else that most people see AIDS as a "gay man's" disease, but it's really not. It affects all people. You can get all the statistics of you google "percentage of gay people with AIDS" or "HIV/AIDS atatistics". You'll get lot's of results. There's no one site where this is located. Hope this helps!

I agree with the Dana lady. Women actually have the highest rising percentage of HIV infection
