Yes, and the main problem is that Herpes never leaves your system, you've got it for life. It will flare up in times of stress and anxiety, and the degree of the problem can vary from mild to severe.

Yes, herpes is a virus and doesn't always show an outbreak until the conditions are right. In many cases, you can get herpes in many forms from any situation that shares germs. Whether you have an outbreak has many different variables. Skin dryness, heat, stress, acidic foods can all be factors in an outbreak. I have had a form of the herpes virus that I get sometimes around my eyes, nose and lips that I have had since I was 4 years old. It usually is pretty mild, but sunburn will make it come out in all of the places I've had it at the same, as an example. It may be dormant for a year, but can come back, and can be spread in the mean time.

Yes because it just crept up on me and it's been 2 years since I last had sex and I didn't know a thing about genital HSV but he did have Trich and passed it on to me and I should of know he had something else. It's been 2 years and 9 months into my marriage I have it and i'm also pregnant. So some people are diffrent sometimes it takes 2 weeks sometimes it takes months sometimes it takes years. The virus hides in your body.

Usually you would get a first attack one to two weeks after infection.

However, herpes attacks are sometimes mild, and people don't realise they have herpes until one of the subsequent attacks.
