Do you think it is fair for them to get cancer? Come on now.. its a vaccine just like all the others you have to get. Why would you not want to have your daughter vaccinated. It could help her from getting cancer!

no I totally disagree I think its a good option to have not something that has to to mandatory. I would want to sit down with my daughter and explain to her what HPV is and talk to her about the vaccine. The vaccine is a precaution IT DOES NOT PREVENT IT OR ALL TYPES, so its like making it mandatory for everyone to get the flu shot, its helps to lower your chance but not prevent you from getting it ever. I believe it should be design made by each individual or family.

I believe so... why shouldn't it be mandatory? think about how many vaccines a child has to get before they can start school, why should those be mandatory and the hpv vaccine not be? it definitely should, nobody should get cancer if there was a way to prevent it don't you think?

Yes, I think so especially if they are girls. It's a great new protection for them. I wish it was around when I was that age. I have had pre-cancerous cells removed from my cervix. They are caused by HPV, this vaccine would have protected me.

these days kids are exploring with no inhibition, it's the parents call but if it were me I would get her vaccinated of course I would want my child to abstain from sex but that's my desire, her's may not coincide with my desires so I would rather be safe than sorry.

I would make sure she understands why I would make this decision because I would want my child to live a health, happy existence and if it means making sure I take every precaution available, I will use it.

if it's mandated nooooooo, it should be the parents decision.

I am told that no child who hasn't been vaccinated has come down with autism. Do you think it is smart to inject a young one with pus mercury and formaldehyde? The states don't make vaccination absolutely mandatory, for if they did, they would be liable.

I'm worried about the mandate.... remember when vioxx was considered the " wonder drug?" look what happened with that! What if we are inadvertently sterilizing our young girls? No one knows for sure and we will have no way of knowing until that first one is brought to light! just my opinion.

Yes, I think it is. HPV can cause so many problems and cervical cancer kills...shouldn't we protect everyone we can?
