Has any one viewed a answer that was way way wrong? I have. SO....here i go. If your not a medical expert say so in your answers. I am 45 with macular degeneration and it IS heriditary and there is a gene that they can check for now. More blue eyed people get AMD and it doesnt come from a bump on the head. I am not trained medical personnel but I am loosing my central vision to AMD and am well read in this area. I know I NEED to calm down but I believe that when a question is asked regarding a medical or life altering disease that accuracy should take the front seat. The internet was my main tool and still is, educating myself about my eye disease. Macular Degeneration is the leading cause of blindness in the United States. hitting your head is not the cause for macular degeration and I find that a insensitive hurtful remark. I am sure my mother who also AMD as well as her twin brother would agree with me.

I have lots of weight to lose. But do not want to become this big massive heap of flab and have to resort to plastic surgery. Those who have had gastric bypass surgery lose weight quickly and most have lots of loose flab that then requires plastic surgery. I saw some of their scars on TV today....they're quite ugly. Can I minimize this by losing weight slowly over a long period of time? I'd like to hear from those who have some firsthand knowledge of it---either themselves or someone they know. Thank-you.

I was told that I have Bell's Palsy a couple days ago. I have read some information online about it, but can anyone tell me if its normal to have a migraine headache with this? That just won't go away. And I am having a very difficult time sleeping. I know that I get migraines if I don't sleep, but I just can't sleep. I am currently taking Prednisone for the Bell's Palsy and Viciodin for the migraine. Does anyone know how I could have gotten this? I don't have any of the causes listed online. Is this something I have to worry about my kids getting? Any other information anyone has, woud greatly be appreciated. I'm sorry if I'm rambling on, I'm sooo tired. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Have a quick question for you guys. I was standing in line one day at the store when the person standing next to me accidently brushed his hand on my jacket's arm when reaching. I noticed that on his finger was a band-aid, and I could plainly see blood soaking through. I am worried that the blood soaked through the band-aid and got on my jacket. I am also worried that that blood might contain HIV. Is there any risk? How long could the virsus live on my jacket? Let's just say the man was HIV positive, should I through the jacket out?
Thanks

I have a cold sore. I kissed my boy friend and now all around the side where my lip ring is (The opposite side of my cold sore) is swollen... is this because the cold sore germs got into my lip ring hole? And how can I make it better? Is it possible to pass herpes from cold sores to the genital areas through oral sex?
