Could this be from menopause or could it be just nerves?

This could be several things occurring. First go to ER to eliminate stroke or allergic reaction to something you ate or drank.
Otherwise go to your PCP and get a referral to a Neurologist. This happened to me 3 years ago and I was eventually diagnosed with MS. My left side of my face is still numb and can be dealt with. I just know what it is now.
These symptoms also are the same for Bells Palsy which do go away after a time but it is still wise to see a Neuro. for CT Scan of head and/or MRI of head. Don't wait.

While it IS possible that what you experience could be anxiety (you may be breathing too shallowly and rapidly which causes a mild form of hyperventilation)...are you the "nervous type" or under stress right now? It also could be something far more serious...definitely time to see the doc!

Are you taking any new medications? You may have an allergic reaction to it. Or it may be something more serious. Go see your doctor.

No those symptoms are definitely not normal.
You need to see your doctor and get examined, there are several neurological conditions that can cause this.

an allergic reaction...
either to something your skin came in contact with, or maybe something you ate.
