I know it could be plain lens for driving without eyeglasses and reading with glasses. But there are more complex lenses which provide both long and short vision. Are they less reliable? Why doctor recommend me the plain one, saying " because you have only one eye...."

My husband drinks almost everyday. He says he can quit without going to any AA meetings, but he never does. He tells me I'm boring because I don't want to drink all the time. We have a daughter who's almost 2, and one of us needs to be a responsible parent.

Nate, I am a Widow, my husband died from Agent Orange in Viet Nam at age 48.I live in a house that was built in 1925. It needs so much work on it, but I can't afford it . I am all alone, in a small town. I watch every show I see with you on it , and wish it was me . I have a Liver Disease myself. I have had 3 family members to die this year. One Brother from Cancer, then my Mother on June 1st and a nephew on July 1st. I paid for 2 Funerals, so I am broke now, but do not regret it at all !! Can you help me at all ?? I have been waiting for Rotator Cuff surgery since my MRI in July, But have to live on Pain Meds, until I get my medicare part B , next year. I suffer alot, but do the best I can . I help everyone else I can , except myself. Now, I just found out another brother has Prostrate Cancer. There were 13 children in my family.....now there are 10 left. Both Parents are gone, too . Thank you, Sincerely ....Ruth Groves P.S. I doubt I will hear from you, I am not that fortunate.

Hubby says I generate a lot of heat when I sleep & I have been told by others in my past. I wondered what causes it and if there is a way around it, other than pillows and blankets between me and my loved one (like a firewall!) so they don't get too hot.

Someone told me that there is a federal program pays all costs involved but, I have been searching all day and just can not find one. By the way, he is 70 years young, resides in California, and also owns a small cafe. The expense of the dialysis and other diabetes related expenses even with Medicare is out of his financial ability to continue with the treatments! Please help us.

I am mid-age guy. Auto ran me down badly. It caused a massive heart attack in all segments of my heart. Now I have severe congestive heart failure. I tried Rx diuretics, the strongest, no success yet. CArdiologist says no remedies to revitalize dead heart muscle. I don't want a heart transplant. I refuse to go back to hospital. My ejection fraction is +50%.
If my heart muscle so damaged forever, then people like me, can they ever overcome the fluid retention?? My right leg oozes from a spot on skin, streams of clear water from inside my body, DRENCHING my clothes 24/7. I have little water to urinate, since it's spilling out my leg day & night. I gasp with angina if climb stairs or exertion. Does anyone know cases like me who improved & live semi-normally after the huge attack? Doctors have no magic wand to cure me - no specific remedies. I'm losing all hope for my life. Cardiologists have no special cures for me, they say this is my fate.

In the last week it seems it's always present... my finger or thumb "jerks" slightly every 0.5 to 4 seconds or so. It seems to vary in frequency depending on whether I'm at rest... or sometimes it seems random. Of course I'm going to see a doctor about it, but in the meantime, what are some things it could be? Possibly Parkinson's?
(I'm 28, and in pretty good health.)
Thanks.

Okay, so when I was born, I was sick. Apparently I turned very yellow, (my skin complexion), and something about I wouldn't accept my mother's blood. So my father and my, who is now, godmother had to give me blood. What is this condition? And will it affect me future in my life? I am 13.

My Son is off to America on the 27th Dec for new year.
Unfortunatly our family have been ill over the holiday with a sickness/runs bug.

If my Son feels unwell and needs to see a Doctor whats the cost for a consultation and maybe a prescription.

*** MY SON DOES HAVE TRAVEL INSURANCE TO TAKE BUT I PRESUME YOU PAY AND CLAIM ON RETURN UNLESS THERE'S COMPLICATIONS.

This has happened to me three or four times in the past five years: I go to get in the shower, but after a few minutes under the water my head feels as though it is full of dryer sheets (fuzzy and disoriented), my ears cease to work correctly, and my eyesight becomes completely shot -- It is impossible for me to focus on anything. There I am, dizzy and with my eyes closed, and a sort of anxious feeling comes over me and I become nauseous as if I were extremely nervous. I believe that I have come close to blacking out or fainting on all of the occasions on which this has happened, but it never has. It seems that cool air or surfaces are able to clear my head, but afterwards (at least twice) I have come down with fever and chills.

Could this be a case of shock from the hot water? Or am I experiencing something else?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
