I was bitten by my friend's dog on Christmas day when tried to break up a fight between his dog and mine. My friend is neurotic about his dog so I know when he says the dog has had his shots, he has. Two problems. First, I'm four months pregnant. Second, the hand he bit is swollen and very red. Hurts like heck. There are two puncture wounds, one on the bony part of my finger that seems to be healing, the other is in the meaty part of the top of my hand. This puncture site is red, swollen and very painful. I'm not sure if it's aggravated or infected. I would think if it was infected both puncture sites would be red. I go to my OB/GYN tommorrow for a visit and I'm thinking about waiting until then. I just don't want to harm the baby if it's infected. I don't have a regular doc because I have just moved to the area. So, getting in to see a doc would be virtually impossible. The ER would take hours and I can't afford to miss work. Am I doing the right thing waiting?

I have since 1997 expirence this pain in my upper abdominal area where it feels like a contractions. Then as soon as pain disappears I have wicked diarrhea. I have gone to the doctors and they have prescibed Donnatol and some other medications at different times. I think it was called Hyomyathacin.Ok not sure if that is spelled right. I keep getting different diagnoses. One was called abdominal migraine and the flu for the other. Then any other time I just don't go to the doctor I just wait it out. It last for just a day but it wears me out.

The pain first came when I had the hives. The hives lasted for 3 months and never returned again.

I am not well most of the time, however I did something stupid on my birthday and smoked an entire packet of cigarettes in oneday (about 20 cigarettes altogether). I am not normally a smoker, but in the past used to smoke one every so often (once per week if that). Since this recent binge smoke, I've experienced abdominal cramping, nausea, muscle twitches (tics), heart racing. anxiety, depression, metal taste, metal smell on me sometimes, exhaustion, salivating excessively sometimes, feeling hyped up and unable to calm down etc. It has been 7 weeks so far and I've not come right. Is it even possible that one binge of smoking could do this for this long? I am unable to get help as nobody believes it's possible, so I'm stuck as I am not knowing what to do. Bear in mind, I have done nothing else unusual, which is why I can only think of that, but obviously it sounds ridiculous. But I'm stuck for answers. Any advice / comments would be appreciated. thanks

I am also promising myself, no more ciggaretes, but always smoke than previous day. I have tried, all type of medication and meditation, but always fail to quit smoking. Please don't suggest to me a hypothetical answer like this : increase willpower, believe in god, bla.. bla.. bla... I have tried all this before but can't get a succes. Please give me a scientific reason to quit smoking. Thanks in advance. If you have (inspiration) story to whats could be wrong with smoking. so mostly welcome.

Sorry if I spelled it wrong, but what is the actual point in it. I know that they remove the layer of skin on the head, but what is it main purpose?

2006-12-26 17:20:09 · 10 answers · asked by Pissant 1

My skin almost feels like it hurts for ANYTHING to touch it, like even clothing or even a light breeze blowing by. I feel like I've had this all of my life, and seems worse in the morning, especially if I don't get enough sleep. I don't know what to do as everyone, including doctors, seem to think I'm crazy, but I just want to know I'm not alone. I'm a healthy 27 year old male and have had this problem as long as I can remember. Do you have any suggestions on what this could be? Some days it takes everything I have just to get out of bed because the extreme changes in temperature, like a shower, from hot to cold, make it really bad. It actually HURTS to wear clothes and to feel something touching my skin. Am I crazy?

About a month ago, i was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, and i've been going through so much just dealing with it. Constant cramps, bowel movements, and the development of painful hemorrhoids. I can hardly fall asleep at night having this pain in my rectum. I'm currently on pentasa for the CD, and on a diet more filled with fiber and hydration, and using ointments to help with my hemorrhoids, yet, i've been also dropping weight....i'm worried as to what might happen next if all doesnt get better...

My aunt is around 50 and has smoked for quite some years now and recently went to the hopital because she couldn't breath. She came back and not even a week has gone by and she already smoked 3 cigarretes in 2 days. We tried everything to convince her to quit but she doesn't pay attention, wat else can we do?

I was just diagnosed, and was wondering if it is normal to have the pain more when I'm under stress.. I have pain from my hips to my toes, and I've noticed that when I'm under stress - for example sleeping then waking up to my baby crying, I start to hurt?? When I'm stressed at work I hurt more as well.. Has anyone else experieced this before??

A better way to ask I guess is WHAT should I add to keep the water bacteria and mold free? Are there home remedies or what is the best thing to buy to add to the water? And is using distilled water better than straight tap water?
