I am not well most of the time, however I did something stupid on my birthday and smoked an entire packet of cigarettes in oneday (about 20 cigarettes altogether). I am not normally a smoker, but in the past used to smoke one every so often (once per week if that). Since this recent binge smoke, I've experienced abdominal cramping, nausea, muscle twitches (tics), heart racing. anxiety, depression, metal taste, metal smell on me sometimes, exhaustion, salivating excessively sometimes, feeling hyped up and unable to calm down etc. It has been 7 weeks so far and I've not come right. Is it even possible that one binge of smoking could do this for this long? I am unable to get help as nobody believes it's possible, so I'm stuck as I am not knowing what to do. Bear in mind, I have done nothing else unusual, which is why I can only think of that, but obviously it sounds ridiculous. But I'm stuck for answers. Any advice / comments would be appreciated. thanks

It is possible your body is totally pissed off at you for flooding it with toxins that are present in cigarettes...you probably feel like total crap because cigarette smoke will kill Vitamin C in your body, therefore leaving you with less immune defenses. I would suggest upping your Vitamin C intake for a week to balance your immune system out again.

I can't help with the metallic taste and smell...I've never heard of that being associated with smokes before.

Yes for somes peoples they may experience the sames symptoms like you had. I guess it's a bad experience you had. The only advised I can give you if is the symptoms are still there don't wait, go to see a nurse or a doctor regarding the situation.

I'm suprised no one believes you as nicotine is a poison. Follow the link below:
Call your doc and see if they have any advice for you on how to treat this. They will most likely tell you to drink a lot of water and rest.
