You can go to a walk-in clinic if the hospital has one.
If you go to the ER for something minor, bring a sleeping bag! And NO you can not see ANY doctor you want, that's why there are Family Practice Physicians and clinics.

Hi! The Hospital is for emergencies only.
Walk in clinics are for non-ergencies, when your family physicians office is closed, or too busy.
Family Physicians are for any health problem.
**The doctor(s) in the emergency at the hospital usually is an on call doctor, usually with his or her own practitioner's office.

Yes. However if it isn't life threatening you may have to sit in the waiting room for a Lil while....or a day or maybe a Lil longer. Be well
P.S. most communities have a clinic attached to the hospital....but normal business hours apply to those.

You can, but expect to pay lots of money. They will want to make sure you can pay before you are allowed to see the doctor. If you can afford to pay cash, then the answer is yes. However, if you have to rely on insurance, then the answer is no unless it is can emergency. Most insurance plans want you to call your primary care physician to ask what to do. Faiure to do so can result in nonpayment by the insurance company.
