i know someone who gets cholesterol bumps he takes cholesterol pills and everything but they wont go away

Not sure what you mean by bumps. If you mean bumps on his/her skin then that's an allergic reaction. Your friend should tell the doctor immediately and find another medication or try natural ways of lowering cholesterol with diet, exercise, and supplements.
