In the last week it seems it's always present... my finger or thumb "jerks" slightly every 0.5 to 4 seconds or so. It seems to vary in frequency depending on whether I'm at rest... or sometimes it seems random. Of course I'm going to see a doctor about it, but in the meantime, what are some things it could be? Possibly Parkinson's?
(I'm 28, and in pretty good health.)
Thanks.

It could be a million things. The only way to know is to get examined by a doctor. That is one symptom of many things, and the only way to make a legitimate diagnosis or assessment is to get a thorough exam. Parkinson's has a set of symptoms that are looked at when making a diagnosis. Somebody won't necessarily have all of the symptoms, but there would be several together that would lead a doctor down that path. Even with that, it is often a difficult diagnosis to make. My best advice is to rest easy until you go to your doctor, then take it from there.

Talk with your doctor and/or do some research on the symptoms of Parkinson's

i do no longer think of so. There are 2 assumptions: a million) form of overuse symdrom, 2) neoromuscular disease. while you at the instant are not getting extra suitable after resting for some days, see your GP. in case you have any sort of an infection presently, see surgeon now. wish you getting nicely quickly!

No, Parkinsons would affect more than just a small part of your body
