Depends on the virus, they vary. I think for colds it's a few days but my daughter was exposed to mumps recently and I've been told it can take up to 3 weeks for the symptoms to show. Go to

If it's a cold, or flu it will take three (this is the usual amount) to five days. (Just a hint: if you think you have something eat healthy and drink lots of water. That will help get rid of it befor eit attacks). If it something worse it could take weeks to months.

depends on the virus......seriously...say a flu virus, you can get the flu about 3-7 days after exposure...with HIV for example, 10 years or more after exposure.
