Ok. I've had some problems in the past few weeks. I got some fillings done March 27th. I had sensitivity, but no pains associated with the two teeth that received fillings. Until May 7th. I woke up in the morning and was eating a bowl of cereal, and the crunching sent a pain in what I thought was one of the filled teeth.
I made a dentist appointment for the following Friday, and she couldn't find anything wrong. She did an examination, x-ray, tap test and even flossed. Nothing. No signs of an infection, crack or bubble.
So now, it's been weeks later and I'm still having problems. I thought at first it was one tooth, but it turns out to be both that she filled. (They are righ next to eachother) I did a bite test and I get the exact same pain from both teeth.

I'm at my wits end with this.
Could she have fudged up?

Or would I being do more harm then good, I was told that drinking pop and then brushing your teeth afterward can actually hurt your teeth because of the acid,
Am I better off cleaning my tongue not scrubbing my teeth and rinsing with water ? seems logical but I am not a Dentist

I got some from the dentist last year and never used it. I want to use it now and am wondering if it is still good or if it expires?

My 14 yr. old son got a filling earlier on one of his back teeth. He is now experiencing intermittent pain that he says, "feels like when you have a filling and bite down on aluminum foil" This is NOT when he bites down just waves of pain out of nowhere. He says he heard one of the assistants ask the Dentist "aren't you supposed to do so and so?" and he said, "don't worry about it" Makes me wonder. Does anyone know what this pain could be?

will someone take them off and why do you leave your braces on so long and your teeth are fixed after a few months?

I've been going to the dentist every 6 months since I was a kid. I take good care of my teeth and I've never had a cavity. But now I don't have dental insurance. So would it hurt me to not go, or not go as often?

What are they going to do? What are the steps that they are going to take?

I have to get both top and bottom braces, but I'm getting my top ones first.

So basically, when I go in for my braces, what are they going to do, step by step?

Thanks, I REALLY appreciate it.

I have an abcess tooth, I beielve it's the #19 tooth. Second molar from the rear of my lower left jaw.

I was wondering what a reasonable price for a root canal procedure would run me. I have no insurance. I started antibiotics yesterday and have to wait ten days before having the procedure done, so I have some time to seek out prices from different dentists. I need to know what to expect to have to pay to have a reputable doctor perfom the root canal.

I am 18 years old. I have been "diagnosed" for grinding my teeth at night. This is the 3rd maybe 4th time I have had coverings put over my molars to fill in the hole that I make over night. I have been going to the same office, but it a few years ago a new dentist came in and the old one left. There was a new medical assistant maybe student dentist. She told me today that my molars are so bad and the holes are so deep that will eventually have to get root canal on all the teeth they fill the holes over(they arent fillings for cavities). They are now prescribing me a "night guard". I am not sure if i heard them right but its going to cost $400. I am wondering why it took them this long to prescribe me a night guard that i have to get fitted for. I have been going to every one of my 6 month checkups. I dont think it is right for them to tell me this now. Why did they take this long to actually do anything about it. Do I have a case, or is there anything I can do about this.

I got a filling in one of my bottom molars in March. No problems until 2 weeks ago. I was having a bowl of cereal, and the crunching hurt that tooth. Only when I chew on food. No other times and no sensitivity to hot. A little sensitive when it comes to cold.
I went to the dentist about 5 days after I got the pain, which was asap. She did a tap test and examined the tooth. Nothing. No pain. Nothing she can see. She took an xray, and there is no infection, and everything looks fine.
Well now it's been 2 weeks and the pain when I chew certain food on this tooth, still remains.
I've read it could be a fracture, but does anyone have any other ideas. And what could the treatment be. It's been bothering my mind.
