hi! please tell me what you think and help me out
this is my problem:

i got braces on my 4 front teeth in november 2003 when i was in grade 5. i had to have them like 3 years till january 2007 when i was in gr.8. the teeth that didnt have braces didnt fall out yet that is what my ortho docter said. In january 2007 i got my braces off and i have to wear a retainer for the top. he told me that i will have to get braces in a year or so. i wear my retainer all the time like he told me and i a getting a tiny little space in between by two front teeth. what if they separate? can i sue him? did i get ripped off? i'm so mad and confused with my dentist. it seems like i will have to have braces for the next 10 years. what should i do please help!

teeth have like memory. after your braces came off, your teeth are doing everything they can to return to the original position they were in, this is why it is extremely important to wear your retainers. if you are worried that your 2 front teeth separate, you should ask your orthodontist to apply a top permanent retainer and you might as well get one on the bottom to keep your bottom teeth straight. i have both top and and bottom permanent retainers and its been years since i got my braces off and they still look perfect. good luck

It is not uncommon to have to have braces twice. Alot of people do! The second set of braces and the retainer should help with the separation. Wear the retainer like he says and it should be ok

I just got my second pair off, your probably starting phase 2. that's what they did to me, i had 2 phases, and had to do braces twice.

HELLO DAISY,

NO, SUING THE DENTIST WON'T GET YOU WHAT YOU WANT. A VERY SMALL SPACE CAN CLOSE WHEN YOU FAITHFULLY WEAR YOUR RETAINERS.
