Yes, you can. Im sure of this becuase
a)i had spacers and i used mouthwash
b)it says so in the instructions book.
also, there is no specific mouthwash you can or cant use; use whatever you like. You can basically just about do everything like before. If they come out, its no problem. Mine came out a few times. Just have your dentist put em back in! Hope this helped!

btw, good luck dealing with the pain! Ugh, it hurt bad. ;] lol

Mouthwash is a very good idea with spacers. If you add a little bit of Perixide with the mouthwash it will even help more.

Because a person with spacers can not floss, there is no way of getting food debris and bacteria out from between the teeth. If you add peroxide with the mouthwash it will "bubble" of the bacteria just like it would do in a open wound.

Good Luck with your orthodontic journey! This procedure is good for braces too. Flosssing is difficult with braces (not to mention time consuming and most people don't want to take the time). This is a little short cut!

i would say it doesn't hurt. I had braces for 3 years. it is a sore feeling. you will be a little sore when you get them put on and every month when you go to get the braces tightened. it last about a day or two take advil and you will be ok. just think the pay off will be that you have beautiful teeth in the end.

HELLO,

YES, YOU SHOULD USE MOUTHWASH IN GENERAL, BUT REMEMBER D NOT FLOSS UNTIL YOU ACTUALLY GET YOUR BRACES ON YOUR TEETH. BETTER YET, BUY AND USE A WATERPIK TO CLEAN YOUR TEETH AND GUMS WITH A PULSATING STREAM OF WATER.
MESSING AROUND WITH FLOSS IS A PAIN.
