I lost a filling in my tooth. It doesn't hurt and I have a cleaning in July. Is it ok to just let it go for a month?

I recently chipped a tooth and remember crunching on it and realizing later what it was, I didnt get it fixed, a year later I was eating again and a biggerchunk fell out and I think I've swallowed it. Anyway, now my heart beat is irregular, or is that just anxiety?

Where is the chart that says what insurance companies call "reasonable and customary" and why is that SO FAR off from what dentists charge? This is all over the workplace at multiple companies.

I am 40 years old and I was hit in the mouth with a baseball. My tooth is slightly loose, and I wondered if loose adult teeth generally heal them selves.

what does it mean when your tooth starts off very sensitive to cold, then it becomes sensitive to pressure (chewing, even touching).

My teeth are white and i wanted to know if there is a toothpaste out there that works wonders on making teeth white as if they got bleached. I just do not trust bleaching my teeth i dont want to go all that far.

Today I was eating a turkey burger and I heard a small pop from my mouth and I noticed it was my tooth. This tooth is a baby tooth, because my "adult tooth" is side-ways about the tooth (How I don't know, that what the X-Ray says), so I checked the mirror and it was the baby tooth, I was pissed because one of my teeth chipped and happy because it was only temporary. So I realize the hump that you have about all your teeth, on this tooth its lower, so I start wiggling the tooth, it doesn't wiggle alot but it wiggles a tad-bit. The bad part is, I am graduating 8th grade June 11th and I don't want to be toothless at the ceremony. I know I am going to have to get the tooth pulled or let it fall out, but I want everything to be fixed up nicely by time I graduate. Does it hurt to get a tooth pulled? Can I be put to sleep? They have to put something in my mouth to turn that tooth and bring it down, will that hurt? I hear I will have a brace on my mouth and as I eat and chew it will be pulled down. Can I get some type of brace that isn't visable?

They are shaped in a V on the back of my tongue have been there for months now. They are very annoying but don't hurt. I have been to the doctor but they seem to think its thrush. I have taken this medication that you swish in your mouth and it hasn't helped. So if anyone has had this same experience and have any advice on how to make these bumps go away. Please help!!!! Thank you !!!

i went today and got a skin graft!!! ouch!!!!!!! well, not too bad i guess :)
my hubby thinks we got ripped off
(they took a teeny bit of my gum from the roof of my mouth and put it at my lower teeth's gum line.)
apparently my gums were too thin there and this needed to be done b4 i get my braces put on (i'm 21). i never heard of anyone eles having this done even though they said like 40 - 50 % of ppl (that may have meant older patients) that get braces have to have this done.
Any comments, stories of experience, ect. would be really helpful in reassuring myself and my husband that we didnt waste $760 (CND$)!! thanks

I have a toothache in the top back of my mouth, every time I bite down, it hurts, and tonight, it started throbbing. I have two wisdom teeth pulled on the same side of my mouth a couple of weeks ago.
It has been hurting since, but tonight was the first time it started throbbing. I have heard cloves work, and they have worked for some other teeth in the past, any other suggestions???? I know I need to get to the dentist, but until I get there, I would like some help to relieve the pain without having to take pain medication. Thanks for any suggestions....

I had my wisdom teeth pulled on Friday...no pain, no problems, so I know I dodged a big bullet...except that I can't eat any of my favorite foods for what seems to be a long time and gargling salt water is getting to be a little hard on my mouth...it's making my tongue and my soft palate raw. How long before I can get back to munching my favorite foods and is there any way to soothe the irritation from the saline mouth rinse?

My dentist told me a few years ago to remove my wisdom teeth because they didnt have room to grow. I was a baby about it and didnt do it. Now, 5 years later my bottom left wisdom tooth is giving me problems. It gets sore and the other day I think a popcorn kernal got stuck in my gums surrounding the tooth. I brushed and flossed and then next morning my face was very swollen. (It looked like I had a golf ball in my cheek) I have since been to the ER and given an antibiotic and pain meds. My question is... I do not have dental insurance and will not be eligable at work for at least 5 months. If I finish my antibiotics to clean out the infection, can I wait that long to have the tooth pulled? I am in pain now, but have been taking pain meds for it. Im scared about not having dental coverage and Im not financially stable. Can you please tell me what to do? At least tell me what I can do until I can afford to see a dentist? Can the infection spread or some back? Thanks
