no! there is a special appliance that is placed on the roof of your mouth that can help with it! Braces can help correct problems that a tounge thrust can cause, but it wil not actaully prevent the tounge thrusting action

No, a special appliance needs to be placed in the roof of your mouth to train your tongue to not push against your teeth when you swallow. If you don't train the tongue the teeth will relapse when the braces are removed. I've seen it happen.

YOU PROBABLY GOT BRACES TO CORRECT AN OPEN BITE CAUSED TO TONGUE THRUST.
THIS HABIT WAS FROM AN EARLY CHILDHOOD. BRACES WILL CORRECT THE PROBLEM, BUT DOES TAKE AWAY THE HABIT.
