I wore braces for 4 years, and didn't wear my retainer when I got them off so they're a little bit out of place. a while ago, i had a really bad skating accident and i had to get two crowns in the front.. can I get braces if I have a crown and my teeth aren't strong at all, really.. ?

I have had a rough couple of months with the dentist and oral surgeon. I had a cleaning and had 3 cavities filled in March. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed in April. I've been back to the dentist 4 times since then trying to get my bite right from the fillings. I finally have no pain in my mouth for the first time in a long time. The last time I was in having my bite fixed the dentist told me that I still had one more tooth that needed to be filled. I knew that I had one more, but with all of the crazy stuff happening the past 2 months, I had forgotten that I had one of the other side of my mouth :0) I made an appt for June 15th to have the last cavity filled. I have been told that I can't take the time off work to go to the dentist that day. ( We have too many people in our office out for vacation that week) The next available appt is not until July 11th. I'm just wondering, is it going to be OK to wait that long to have this last tooth filled? It doesn't bother me at all.

It's been too long since I've been to the dentist, and I just called for an appointment. Considering my genetics and past experiences, I have a feeling these teeth will need quite a bit of work and probably multiple fillings.

What I notice though is that the more I think about the holes that might be in my teeth, the more I tend to feel like there is pain in there. They feel really sensitive.

Who thinks I'm psyching myself out, vs. feeling actual pain from possible cavities??

I get canker sores ALLLL THE TIME. They hurt, ive tried all of that numbing stuff that you can buy (kanka, orabase, the little patches you can put over it, EVERYTHING). Is anyone a doctor here because i think i might have to call my doctor to get prescribed something, and it hurts to talk. Ive stopped eating salt, so citrus, everything i can think of that can cause it, but yet i still get them....

I am taking vicodin for a really bad tooth ache just untill I get to a dentist tomorrow. I know it wears off in 6 hours, does that mean I can breastfeed my son 6 hours after I take one? I am going to be taking one every six hours ( or after I breastfeed- if I can) and he has never had formula before - what do I do to be safe?

This is the first few months i've had this problem, I've also recently gotten a few fillings. Items such as refridgerated drinks, cold faucet water, and icecream make my teeth hurt it is almost unbearable. When drinking cold fluids I have to use a straw or take really really small sips. Is there a way I could fix this?

I am in the middle of having my root canal redone on a upper back molar and have a temp filling however I think something happened when I was eating and it has gone up into my tooth. I now cannot eat on it because there is such sharp pains. It doesnt hurt all the time only when eating on it. Has anyone had this happen? Do I need to go back before my next appointment in a month or shall i just wait but not eat on that side?

I have my teeth cleaned every 6 months faithfully. I floss and I brush my teeth at least 2 times a day with Crest. I went to the dental hygeinist 2 weeks ago and she was scraping away. She was digging at my back teeth and telling me she thought maybe it was a problem with a groove in my teeth. The cleaning took about 1 hour. Finally, she quit and now the gum around my very back tooth on the right side will not quit hurting. Its raw and is starting to hurt up into the roof of my mouth. What is wrong? Should I go get treatment. Last time I had any dental work by this particular dentist, he made fun of me and didnt believe he was hurting me during a filling. I am a tough old bird and have had a lot of dental work by another dentist, but moved and this one is covered on my insurance. I cannot chew food on the r side of my back teeth.

A few of the dental discount plans include some of these very respected dentist. Should i go ahead and purchase one of the plans that include one of these dentist?

I had my wisdom teeth removed Friday morning. My left cheek is massively swollen. It hurts like crazy. I'm not sure but when I look back in my mouth it looks like he may have stitched my cheek to my gum. When will the stitches dissolve and how long until my face goes back to normal? Is there anything I can do to make it go down faster? Am I just being paranoid?

Over the last three days my tounge and my gums have been quite sore. I have no back (chewing) teeth. It's this area that sore to touch. I've been using an antiseptic mouthwash and although its helped a little it hasn't got rid of it. My tounge does't look any different than usual, but the gums that hurt have gone very white.

Anyone got any ideas what's up?

I'm booked to see my dentist in four weeks time. Cant go any sooner, and my doctor is rubbish.
