Hi!
Ok, I get these once in a while and I have a couple ways of dealing with them;
Get some teething gel or ointment from the local pharmacy that has a local anesthetic in it. Apply a small amount to the area and wait till it's numb. Then what I do is either take a small pair of nail clippers - (the pincer type) and nip the offending tastebud off. Sounds gross I know, but it really works! And you can't feel it because of the liodcaine in the gel.
The other way I use if the taste bud is in the right place, is to just bite it off - afte you've put the gel on it that is!!
Then rinse the area with hydrogen poroxide and you should be as good as new again.
Works for me - and I do NOT have a high pain threshold!!
Hope this helps!! :-D

it is callled a kanker sore. it is caused by herpes simplex. yes its herpes. not the exact same as genital herpes. you will have it for the rest of your life. it stays dormant until something aggravates it and then you get a kanker sore or a cold sore. then it will go away until another day. you can help ease the pain and lessen the duration of it with Abreva. its an OTC cream that goes on the sore. It will not totally get rid of it but it will help. this is such a common thing almost everyone has them......

Use listerine mouthwash routinely and stay away from foods that seem to irritate the area.
