I got 1 wisdom tooth and 2 other teeth pulled yesterday at like 3PM. I have stitches but I was wondering how long do you have to wait to be able to start kissing and stuff like that or do you have to wait ?

Hi, I am 22 years old and I am having massive dental issues...I am in pain everyday and I dont know what to do about it. I have poor credit due to college bills, so I cant get another card or take out a loan, etc. Medical Cards are out of the question as well. I am honest and hard working....if you're willing we can work something out. I will do anything to make the pain go away. Please someone with a heart help me :)

I was just wondering if all orthodontists offices do credit card background checks on thier patients or are their only certain offices that do this? There are orthdontists offices that end with an Ltd at the end of thier name.

Hey,

A little piece of my tooth broke off today. It hurts a little bit around where the piece broke off, but will a dentist be able to repair this?

I beleive its my mollers that are causing the pain and throbbing, from the top and bottom. I would normally take the gel caines to help numb the pain, and then it would just go away and not hurt. But now, those just don't help. I can't see a dentist till after the holiday weekend. What can anyone sugguest to help me easy the pain and help me get some sleep. The pain feel like someone hit me so hard on my face that it hurts from my mouth all the way to my ear. I am not able to swallow any pills at all, I can crush them if needed.

I don't even be brushing it that hard. Just hard enough to get the white stuff off. I brush in the morning and at night.

the dentist gave me a prescription for penicilan and said that if it reached the eye to go to the hospital, as he would be out of town this weekend. How serious is this?

I had one of my teeth filled, and it is senditive now (after 4-5 days), even when I drink water. Went to my dentist, she said it's normal and it's because the filling was near the gum. That's the first time that I hear that. I thought you go to dentist to get rid of the pain, and not develop some new pain (I hadn't any pain in first place and went just for a checkup).
I hate to think that she hasn't done it right or if she's lying or hiding something.
So please somebody tell me that he/she had the similar experince?

recently, i asked here in yahoo!answers about my gum problems... most of them said that i will lose my teeth if i ignore them and dont't go to dentist... since then, i feel like my front teeth
is pulsating and moving, yes, i feel it a little bit until now, it's been three weeks since i asked that question, will my teeth gonna fall out or is this just anxiety?

I believe they are cavities, i have many some are small and some are larger. They start from my 2 front teeth all around the top and bottom set... they are on the side of the teeth. The side that is very visble when I open my mouth. Someone please help me, I am ashamed to open my mouth or even go to a dental office because of it.

Im 13 and in Australia. My top 2 front teeth have chips in the bottom left corners, not that big, but pretty noticable when im talking to someone. They chipped when I was in primary school, when i was trying to open something and when I fell of the playground and hit my tooth on the wood. They are fully grown. I think one chipped a little more a few weeks ago, and I completely understand that, when there is something wrong, it needs to be fixed sooner rather than later, because it will just get worse. How will they be fixed. There is also a gap in between if it makes a difference. How much will this cost? Many thanks.

I am 13 and live in Australia. I got a plate on the 17th of April. Not a plate for fake teeth, just to push forward my top right eye tooth. I go back to my dentist every 2 weeks and get it tightened. My top two front teeth have a gap that can fit a bobby pin in, and the tooth between my front right one and my right eye tooth at the top row. My tooth thats getting fixed is nearly forward. Im going back in about 1-2 weeks now. When im finished with the plate, will all my teeth move over and close the gaps?? I feel that my eye tooth will fit in the gap thats there now, but will my gaps close?? Thanks alot.

Over the past couple of weeks, I noticed that one of my bottom teeth has shifted and sticks out a little. It's uncomfortable and I feel extremely self conscious. I set up a consultation with my dentist who said that I probably wouldn't want to go through the trouble of wearing braces again (I wore them 19 years ago at the age of 15 for 2 1/2 years) and that my top row of teeth are pretty and that I shouldn't worry about it because no one would notice. I'm constantly looking in the mirror and feel that others do notice it. I would sacrifice wearing braces just to avoid this awkward feeling (my tongue always seems to touch in that area too). Other than invisilign or regular braces, are there any other alternatives, such as a retainer to help with this type of minor problem?

I had Orthodontist threatment when I was about 12 or 13. Then at the end of my treatment he stongly glued/cemented a piece of metal to the back of my teeth. When should this come out? Do you know what metal is usually used for this? It has kept my teeth in place but I haven't been to the dentist in years because I haven't been able to afford it. Im 20 now and it's been in a long time and it really annoys me when I floss my teeth because I can't do the bottom teeth because of this piece of metal. Any advise anyone?

I had a wisdom tooth pulled and was on amoxicillan for a week then a molar next to it and am on penecillan for a week. What a pain! And now I have a head cold to boot! Geesh!
