I was just wondering if all orthodontists offices do credit card background checks on thier patients or are their only certain offices that do this? There are orthdontists offices that end with an Ltd at the end of thier name.

If you don't have insurance or if you have to make payments they all do credit checks. Even Doctors do. they want to make sure you can pay your bill if you don't pay it up front

Depends on the office. When I had braces, I didn't have insurance and no credit (I was just starting out). And paid $100/month for several years. Best to ask. If they do, depending on your state, they will have you sign a release. Good luck!

Not necessarily...I work in an orthodontist office and we do not do credit checks however, if you set up a payment plan we require a direct draft from your checking account :)

HELLO,

LTD. BEHIND AN OFFICE NAME JUST MEANS THAT THEIR DENTISTRY IS LEGALLY LIMITED TO A SPECIFIC TYPE OF PRACTICE, FOR EXAMPLE ORTHODONTICS OR PERIODONTICS. THEY MAY DO A CREDIT CHECK, BUT THIS USUALLY APPLIES TO A SITUATION WHERE THEY WILL FINANCE YOUR LOAN. DOING A CREDIT CHECK IS NOT STANDARD PROCEDURE.
