Over the past couple of weeks, I noticed that one of my bottom teeth has shifted and sticks out a little. It's uncomfortable and I feel extremely self conscious. I set up a consultation with my dentist who said that I probably wouldn't want to go through the trouble of wearing braces again (I wore them 19 years ago at the age of 15 for 2 1/2 years) and that my top row of teeth are pretty and that I shouldn't worry about it because no one would notice. I'm constantly looking in the mirror and feel that others do notice it. I would sacrifice wearing braces just to avoid this awkward feeling (my tongue always seems to touch in that area too). Other than invisilign or regular braces, are there any other alternatives, such as a retainer to help with this type of minor problem?

Someone recommended a cheaper alternative to braces which would be cosmetic bonding. Do you think that would work?

You could try pushing the tooth back in with a little pressure every day. But really, orthoclear or invisalign might work better.

Have your wisdom teeth taken out first then think about the braces.
