1. i thought pink&blue bands looked the best [ i had clear braces]
2. they just turn this little thing on the last bracket [ on your back tooth] and it loosens the wire or even tightens it if they keep the same wire on.

The clear ones are really nice, but it depends on how much moving they need to do to your teeth. The clear ones sometimes are not as strong as the regular metal ones. They change the wires by taking them out of the rods in the brace on your very back teeth, there are small round rods that they slip into. The pain when they change the wires depends on the thickness of the wire. I had some changed and never felt a thing, but some wires are more aggressive and will hurt longer. Usually a day or so until your mouth gets used to it. The only question I don't have an answer for is a web site that you can look at, but hope I helped a little bit.

1. I'd stay away from colors that look like you have food in your teeth, like green, or red. Stick with neutral colors like white.
2. The wires are changed when they take off all the elastics. The wire slips out easily. There will be a metal ring kind of thing on all your back molars, it has a small hole for the end wire to go in.
3. When your braces gets tightened it hurts for just a few days, and usually it's only bad when you eat. It's not an unbearable pain.
4. Sorry, I don't know of any websites, but I've had personal experience with braces and trust me, it's well worth it.

My son had braces and, honestly, he wasn't in a lot of pain. He got to choose from a variety of colors, but I would not go for a neon or bright color---try a neutral color, maybe gray, brown, etc.
As for changing the wires, from what I saw, they just take off the old wires and replace them periodically. The actual braces look like little plastic pieces glued on to each tooth, then the wires go through the little holes on each of those pieces. I think when you first get them, your mouth is a little sore because your teeth are actually shifting.
Now, I am not a professional on this subject, but that's what I saw. I don't know of any Websites, but you could do a Google search. Good luck!

My daughter gets the colors changed with the holidays or the seasons. She says that they don't really hurt when she gets them tightened. During the consultation they informed me that when they tighten them because they are made with titanium you teeth don't do all the moving overnight like they used to. It takes the full term between tighens to move so the pain is not as it used to be. The little elastics hold the wire on to the brace.

1. Any color would look cute but never get whit, yellow, or glow in the dark. They easily stain and can make your teeth look icky.
2. They don't normally change wires that often but when they do they just take the rubberbands off, detatch it from the connector in the back and thereattach new ones with new rubberbands.
3 They hurt for about a day or so. Not too bad. Just be careful of what you eat and/or do.

I personally liked the hot pinks! :D i'm not a fan of two colours (personally) anyways. I got colours the first time. but you sit down he cleans your teeth sizes rings for your back molars and than cements metal brackets on each of your teeth and uses a blue light to harden the cement after he's done that he chooses a wire right for your mouth (usually the lightest one for the first time) and than puts the colours on the brackets to hold the wire on after that he trims the wire so it's not poking you than he does an over all inspection and you're done takes about an hour. don't worry about the pain, it's worth it in the long run :)

most colors look like you have food stuck in your teeth, and I think the clear look terrible -- they discolor and look awful. better to go with metal. for the colors I would go with clear or black or maybe red. avoid yellow and green at all cost. They look gross.
