I get canker sores ALLLL THE TIME. They hurt, ive tried all of that numbing stuff that you can buy (kanka, orabase, the little patches you can put over it, EVERYTHING). Is anyone a doctor here because i think i might have to call my doctor to get prescribed something, and it hurts to talk. Ive stopped eating salt, so citrus, everything i can think of that can cause it, but yet i still get them....

I have often had canker sores. Really big ones, that make you not want to eat, or talk. They can be so bad. I have noticed a couple of things regarding these "mouth ulcers". First of all, you have to cut down on the sugar you are eating. I have noticed that if I am eating more sugary things, I get more canker sores. Once you have one, make sure to brush your teeth more than you normally would, in order to cut down the bacteria in your mouth. Then, you can rinse your mouth with mild salt water several times a day until it heals, or use a little hydrogen peroxide on a Q-tip or cotton ball (it tastes awful to gargle with). Canker sores are sometimes considered "thrush", which is a fungal infection, or sometimes considered part of a candida infection, and you can look that up online. While you have them, of course, everything hurts. I would try cutting out the extra sugar and see if they occur less frequently.

There are a couple of things that you can do to avoid these canker sores, and to treat them. First of all track when you are getting them, certain times of the year, during stressful life times, or it may be caused by certain foods. After tracking this, avoid the causes if you can figure them out. The other thing you can do is use Rembrandt toothpaste, I've had very good success with my patients. There is a chemical in it that helps prevent canker sores from occurring. The other treatment is laser therapy on the actual sores. A dentist can us a special diode laser that will help increase the healing time as well as decrease the pain. There are some other remedies that include drug therapy but you should consult your dentist. For immediate pain relief go to the drug store and buy liquid benedryl and maalox. Mix in .5 oz of benedry to 2 oz's of maalox. swish for thirty seconds and spit. do not swallow. The benedryl has a mild anesthetic which will give you some pain relief for about an hour. Good luck

I have suffered with those horrible things also since I was little (I'm ove 50 now). I definitly notice whenever my immune systom runs down I get them. So I'm very careful about eating healthy, get plenty of sleep, and take vitamins. I've been to Doctors because of the pain (I'll never have just one at a time, they always come in packs!) They have never prescribed anything that helps any more than over the counter. Since making sure I don't get run down I really haven't had so many problems in the last few years. Try taking extra good care of yourself, and get a good multivitamin. I hope it will help you too, I hate that anyone has to go through that pain!!!

Canker sores are no longer brought about via a herpes virus. chilly sores are brought about via a herpes virus. many times it is not an identical herpes virus as with genital herpes, besides the undeniable fact that that's. that's unfold from mouth to genitals and vice versa. people who get chilly sores are many times in user-friendly terms contagious whilst they have a sore, yet those with genital herpes are in threat of spreading the virus even whilst they have not got an epidemic.

Try Blistex, or a Vitamin E stick
