I'll be back from my vacation in about a month(from here until then).so i'd be a month behind. I just don't want them to ruin all the good food!?! What would you do? should I get them on before?

After after! You don't want to have any complications while you are on vacation, not too mention all the maintenance you'll have to keep up with. You are better off enjoying your vacation and all the delicious food while you have the chance, just imagine if your braces somehow ruined your vacation, you would totally regret it. Its just 4 weeks will your teeth really know the difference?

I would wait and have them put on once you get back from vacation. After you get the braces your doctor will recommend that you eat soft foods for a few days. Plus your mouth will be sore and you don't want that ruining your fun. One month isn't a huge setback especially since people usually have braces for a couple of years.

Get it after, because for the first few weeks your mouth will hurt a lot, and you will only be able to eat very soft food. This would really ruin a vacation, having to order mashed potatoes at every restaurant.

Enjoy your vacation first. The braces will make your mouth pretty sore (almost immediately)...you won't be able to chew hard food for a while.

it might cause pain for a couple of weeks and ruin your holiday...

I would wait until after your vacation because otherwise it might ruin it. I heard it causes some pain and discomfort.

AFTER!!! After having my braces tightened it usually took 3-4 days before I could eat "real" food again.

go after it. b4 will wreck the good food and youll b in pain for a couple of weeks and that will wreck ur holiday
