They are shaped in a V on the back of my tongue have been there for months now. They are very annoying but don't hurt. I have been to the doctor but they seem to think its thrush. I have taken this medication that you swish in your mouth and it hasn't helped. So if anyone has had this same experience and have any advice on how to make these bumps go away. Please help!!!! Thank you !!!

Do you smoke? Smoking can be very irritating to all oral tissues. Try using a tongue scraper or at least brush the tongue thoroughly. You may have immune problems and your body can not fight off aggressive bacteria in your mouth. See a physician and have some blood tests run to check your red and white blood cell count. Avoid using peroxide as a mouth rinse on a regular basis. It can change natural flora (the bacteria levels) in your mouth.

Here's a link about thrush:

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/oral-thrush/DS00408

it says that it sometimes happens in people who have poor immune systems. Maybe you could try doing things that would help boost your immunity like exercising, taking a multivitamin, lowering your stress level, etc.

Go back to your doctor and tell them your concern and that the medicine isn't helping.
