I work in a dental office and I can tell you there are many reasons for this.
One of the main reasons is money. Dental work is expensive. Some people are only missing some teeth some are missing all teeth.
If it is just some teeth they are missing, it could be due to that person loosing the teeth because of a gum disease called periodontal disease. Others it could be because they can't afford the dental work, such as fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, etc.
As for denture wearers, so dentures "rub" and it bother/hurts the person. Sometimes the denture won't suction to the top of the mouth. With the bottom denture, sometimes it "flops" around the mouth usually due to the periodontal disease, which is a disease where the bone diminishes.
Other people are just scared to death of the dentist and won't go which is unually due to a bad past experience.

Bad teeth and no money, or a bad experience with a dentist. I had all 3 when I was growing up. I got cavities drilled & filled without numbing and it hurt like anything, so I never wanted to go to the dentist. He would just yell at me and say it can't hurt that bad. If it was gonna cost a lot to get a tooth fixed it just got pulled out instead. By the time I got to high school I was missing about half my teeth, and what I had left weren't too good. The dentist would always yell at me like it was my fault my teeth were so bad even tho I brushed a lot. When I was 14 he told me I should come back in a couple years if I still have any teeth left by then. I finally just had them all pulled out but I could never get used to the dentures. They were never comfortable I guess partly cuz I went without any teeth at all for about 9 months. By then I was used to no teeth so it was hard to get used to the dentures and they didn't fit very good. So I still don't have any teeth. That's ok tho, I'm used to it and I don't mind. At least I never have to go see that grumpy a##h&!e of a dentist anymore.

Have you paid a dentist lately? Most American's with or without insurance can't afford the price of regular dental work. If I want to save just one tooth, it will cost me well over $1000. Do I eat? Pay my electric bill? What about my rent? Or do I get my tooth fixed? Chances are, my tooth won't get fixed. Maybe when I'm old I will be one of those people walking around without teeth so you'll have someone to laugh at.

they think of this because is the way they have been reported. additionally they try this through fact they haven't any dentures. enamel are considered a luxury to a pair. this is as shame, yet undesirable dental care remains uncomplicated and suited in some aspects. I stay in Kentucky and notice this frequently. i've got confidence so sorry for babies who will boost up with dental issues and then, later in existence, could have lacking, hollow area stuffed, broken, or no enamel.

People cannot afford to get them.
It is very expensive to go to the dentists. Thank God, I have been helping many such people to save large amounts of money when they go to the dentists.
There are a few affordable dental plans that are helping people to get the care they need. My husband saved $877 recently on his dental work.
