My teeth are not that bad, however I do need braces. I really do not want coloured ones. Please tell me if i should get clear ones or just none at all. Do the clear ones turn yellow? in that case i would rather just not get any! answer soon please

I was wondering: I'm using wax to soften the friction of metal brackets on my braces, but if it falls off and you accidently swallow it, is that toxic or dangerous? And what is the proper way to apply and remove wax from your braces?

I just had one wisdom tooth taken out and the doctor gave my bf the instructions. He told me that I can only have liquids for three days. I called back to check, and the nurse or aide said I can eat things that are soft, not spicy, and not hard. Also, I am not bruised or experiencing any pain at this point, and I haven't had Vicodin yet. Is it safe for me to be eating things like mashed potatoes and cut up grapes?

I HAVE THE SEVERE FEAR OF DENTISTS! EVERYTIME I GO, I'M VERY APPREHENSIVE. ONCE I'M SITTING IN THE EXAM ROOM I'M SWEATING PROFUSELY AND SHAKING IN FEAR. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT SOON AND I'M GONNA CANCEL! WHAT AM I GONNA DO? I REALLY HATE NEEDLES AND DRILLS, THEY R VERY PAINFULL! IT FEELS LIKE A TORTURE ROOM IN THERE!

I heard that hydrogen peroxide mixed with water can whiten teeth. One try and my tongue is burned or feels like it has been cut. What can I do to ease the pain? Cold really hurts. Warm is not so bad. Help?

My dentist has told me i got about 3 teeth that are cracked and or broken and i need to get crowns put on. Only issue is now my metlife is about up this year 2007. they cover 1200 a year and since i have got 4 wisdom teth pulled and 7 teeth filled this year that 1200 is about up. i am still waiting on the claims to come back to see actully how much they have paid this year, but from what they are saying it looks like they can only cover one of the crowns if that. So my question is do you guys think the teeth will hold up until next year? because there is no way i will be able to get the crowns put on with out metlife paying there 50% of it. And what should i do since it seems the teeth are starting to get painful?

Also, can I get that stuff you breathe in to knock you out? It's a pretty severe situation. My teeth get cavities whether I take care of them or not, and I usually get to a dentist when the pain becomes blinding, but I'm not a minor anymore, so not under parents' insurance, and so am at a loss.
