I would avoid chewing on that side and keep the food/drink temp warm. If the filling is loose, there is no way to put it back, it needs to be replaced totally. The most likely cause of a loose filling is recurrent decay.....a cavit under the filling. The dentist will remove the new decay and then put a new filling in. No big deal, normal dental stuff. If the filling falls out, get to the dentist ASAP if it hurts, if it dosen't bother you too much, make sure you get there this week, don't leave it too long, it will just get worse and cost you more money.

Yes. You'll need to get to the dentist on Monday. If that filling falls out, you might be exposing air to a nerve-OUCH OUCH OUCH! I'd lay off of the Laffy Taffy and such for the weekend, and keep your diet to soft foods. Unfortunately, if the filling is that loose, you still may end up losing it-bummer!

I hope it works out okay for you!

If you can tell it is loose, go to a dentist before it falls out.
