gingivitis is permanent. You can control it by flossing everyday after each meal and brushing twice a day and visiting your dentist every 6 months, Listerine is recommended by most dentists . You can always visit the periodontist and have your gums deep cleaned and that will help, ask your dentist about options

Brush brush brush ... floss floss floss... twice a day.. after every meal if possible. I just had full mouth periodontal work done because I have gingivitis. Root Scaleing and Planing to be exact.. IT HURTS (like a B****)!!!! and it's EXPENSIVE!! (Unless you have $500 to hand over) Get your gingivitis under control! I have a tooth brush and dental floss in my bed room, by the computer, in my coat pocket, in my work box, in my truck and in my bathroom. I use it ALL THE TIME NOW. It's not cureable but manageable

Brush and floss your teeth three three times a day after meals. See your dentist twice a year for deep cleaning. A mixture of 3% hydrogen peroxide and water 50 /50 rinse will help problem areas. This means 1/2 hydrogen peroxide and 1/2 water. Don't waste your money on any expensive mouthwash this will work fine. GOOD LUCK

Listerine didn't really work for me, but things got really better when I started using Peroxyl (hydrogen peroxide-based mouthwash). You can pick it up at most drugstores. It's a bit pricier than Listerine, but well worth it! And don't forget to floss too!

Brush frequently and floss frequently.
Also, go to the dentist for cleanings every 3-6 months.

Use some antiseptic agent to destroy the infection. If gets worse will need antibiotics for a week or 10 days in order to kill the bacteria. Good oral hygiene is a must to keep this from happening.
Good luck.

brush and floss regularly -carry a toothbrush with you at work and play.
chew sugar free gum after meals when you can't brush -look for brands with xylitol.

do not use listerine.Because it contains a sugar. they have a new mouth rinse out on the market now. No sugar. Make sure you brush your tongue and gums. And they say that kissing is a sure way to fight gingivitis.

Brush at least two times a day for two minutes and floss every day. Regular cleanings at your dental office will help as well.
