It really depends on the position of all your teeth, not "just the size" of the gap is taken into consideration. When one tooth is moved, usually they all have to be moved to correct your bite or how all your teeth fit together. Most cases take about 18 to 24 months although there is no "set time frame" for the completion of orthodontics. It just really depends on how fast you respond to treatment in closing the gap, correcting the bite and aligning the teeth. Don't rush perfection, it sometimes takes a little time to achieve.
