I just went for a check-up at the dentist and he said I need 4 fillings - all in different "sections" of my mouth (top teeth, right side, lower teeth, right side, etc). He wants me to do this over 4 visits. I really wonder if there's some sort of issue with doing them all at once. I just hate to miss 4 mornings of work - and have to get 4 numbing shots! Has anyone else experienced this and did your dentist give you a reason for not doing them all at once?

I recently had some fillings and restorations done on my teeth, and one tooth in particular has been bothering me since this was done. Daily I keep feeling grit or something between that tooth and the tooth next to it and I'm not eating anything at the time and nothing is stuck in between my teeth, I floss daily. My teeth were cleaned after all of the work was completed on my teeth due to sensitivity issues, but I was experiencing this grit feeling between my teeth right after my first fillings were done. What is this? I never experienced this prior to having this dental work done.

Did or does anyone have braces that also has receding gums due to over-agressive brushing? Not receding gums cause of peridontal disease or anything, strickly over-aggressive brushing. How did it affect your braces and the end result if any??

I think I'm growing wisdom teeth, because in the area that they should be in, there's like a red spot, as if you poked yourself with a needle and drew blood, if you know what I'm talking about. It really hurts, and I just want to know does it hurt for everyone when they grow in? And how long will the pain last? Also, how can I stop it from hurting?

I've tried using a humidifier by my bed, but that didn't help. I have a water bottle by my bed so I can swish out my mouth, but it doesn't solve the problem of waking up so much.

Could this be a side effect of the allergy medication Zyrtec?

My son is 7 years and 5 months old. The charts I've viewed say that first baby teeth typically come out between ages 6-7. This is true with all his classmates so far. He's a healthy, active kid...this baby tooth thing is my only real concern.
One of my nephews actually had a problem in which his adult teeth grew in while his baby teeth were still in - is that sort of thing genetic? I sure don't want my son to have to go through the stuff my nephew went through.

I was using Peroxyl and saw big improvements in my mouth. But I decided I should make my own peroxide mouthwash as a cost-saving measure. What is the percentage or ratio of hydrogen peroxide to water in the mouthwash? Is there any harm to swishing too much peroxide? Can germs grow resistant to the antiseptic ability of hydrogen peroxide or alcohol?

I have had a bad tooth for a few months.Last night my cheeck swelled a little. This morning the whole right side of my face was and is still swollen.Even my right eye lids are swollen.Im running below normal tempatures and high fevers.I went to the doctor today. The doc said it is a infection in my gums. She said my blood pressure is too low,my heart rate is too fast and with my temps being too low to too high that I have toxins in my blood.I was givin a antibiotic shot and percription for antibiotics. Is toxins in the blood stream the same as blood poisoning? I did not ask her because I never thought of the question until tonight.I feel like if I have the flu.Fever(when not below normal)chills, weakness, aches and pains.

Ok so does it feel natural (same as normal old teeth) to have veneers in your two front upper teeth?? Ok my younger brother has a gap between two upper front teeth and how much would the total cost be for fixing it (only the gap between them) with veneers? he doesn't need any whitening just to fix that gap??
and also is anyone regretting having veneers? do they hurt or cause bad breath or even cause bleeding? and most importantly DO THEY FEEL NATURAL?

My dentist is putting me on 15mg of Valium orally for my wisdom teeth removal. I anticipate that I will receive local blocks, but should I expect Nitrous Oxide? I was just curious, I don't know what that will do to me and it makes me a little nervous.

Is there a remedy for this? The dentist told me nothing can be done.

After being unemployed and sedentary for four months, I started a job four days ago that requires quite a bit of physical activity. Yesterday I got a toothache in right upper molar which had root canal done on it a few years ago. Today I am having pain in the tooth when I bend over, stretch, or sneeze. Anybody out there have any idea why this is happening? Thanks!
