my sis wants to get rainbow braces but i dont think they look cool and i dont want to be seen with someone who has that. Should she get them?

well the choice is hers. You can't choose for her. You can advise to her that you don't think she should get them but be prepared for a long speech about how it's her decision and she can do what she wants and have a speech prepared about the reason why you don't feel she should get them. Good luck

It's her mouth and her decision, or your parents. The most important thing is that she gets the braces if she needs them. If she thinks the rainbow braces will make her feel better about having braces, then she should get them. I'm personally of like mind as you. I think plain metal or invisible is the way to go. You could remind her that she's going to have them in her mouth for a long time and may get bored or sick of the rainbow in her mouth before it's time to get them removed. Maybe she can just get the colored band things that slip over the braces instead. They can be removed at any appointment. Ultimately, you're gonna just have to put up with her decision. Cheers.

yes. its her choice and she should get something cool like rainbow braces and show it off to her friends! it might take a longer time to complete them though.

well as long as she stays away from light colors, light colors tend to make your teeth look a bit yellow or discolored, i would suggest getting a darker shade of each color. but if your sis is young she probably wont care about that.. and keep in mind that the dentists regularly let you change the colors.. so try it out..its important that she sees that she has a bit of control over things

Sure. The color comes from the elastics (tiny rubber bands) and you change them about every month anyhow, so she can be your rainbow connection for a month and then go back to any color she wants.

My 15 year old daughter loves changing the colors of her bands everytime she gets them tighted. And then she goes to scholl and shows them off to everyone. If she feels good about them that is all that matters. And thats all that should matter to you.

If she wants to get them, then let her. You can't make her choices for her. Support her for getting orthodontic treatment!
