Hi,

I got 4 teeth pulled out recently, and I got to keep the teeth. The dentist said that if I want to keep them for more than a few days, I should use some type of bleach to clean all the blood off the teeth.

So, What exactly do I clean the teeth with?

Thanks

I got my wisdom teeth removed almost two weeks ago. My two bottom ones were bony impacted, meaning they were sideways and encased by jaw bone. Apparently the doctor had to cut through the bone to break the tooth and take it out piece by piece. Anyway, the wounds have since healed, but now I am feeling a tightness in my mouth, mostly on the lower part of the inside of my cheek running all the way down to my lower jaw. The site of the wisdom tooth extraction is also still a bit swollen and sore when I press on the outside of my cheek or when my toothbrush accidentally jabs the area. Is this normal for two weeks post-surgery?

So they were feeling fine yesterday and the day before... I had my wisdom teeth removed on the other side of my mouth so I've been using my right molars to chew since Friday. They were giving me no problems until earlier today when I was eating a hot quesadilla... suddenly one of my molars felt a little bit sensitive. Nothing OW but it was feeling a bit sensitive. Right afterwards I drank some cold water (not ICE cold but from the fridge) and my teeth felt sort of sensitive to that too.

So could it be my fillings are making my teeth feel sensitive, even though it wasn't a deep cavity at all? And why 3 days after having them filled would they bother me? I did eat a few tangerines today--could the acidity be linked? Hairline crack in my molar (dentist didn't say anything about hairline cracks but then again, he wasn't looking for any)? My teeth were filled with that white filling, not the metal kind.

I have a few teeth with silver fillings, and bit into a piece of aluminum foil that was stuck to a hamburger patty. ( did not see that one coming) I bit into it, and it sent me through the roof. Has anybody expirence this before? Its like sticking your tongue to a square battery ( not sure the size, with the 2 bumps on one end)

I went to western dental in valencia california for the first time last year. I had absolutely no cavities at the time. After x-rays were taken, I was informed that I had 9 teeth that needed treatment. To make a long story short, 5 of the 9 teeth needing treatment had to be re-done three times! Under a year later I've learned from my family dentist that decay was left behind when the other 4 teeth were restored and what's more a tooth that had no decay had been arbitrarily drilled, the enamel removed, and that tooth now has decay.

Western Dental has refused to hear my complaint. What can I do? I've considered filling a complaint with the california dental board but how will that help? Will I get my money back? Please advise.

I'm almost 13, and i need braces for complex issues...(spacing, front teeth stick out, crooked teeth on the bottom...Would you think that invisalign braces would give me a good result? I'm afraid to get lingual braces....but lingual or invisalign which one works faster and better with my problems?

Oh yea i hate the braces that show i really care about looks and stuff....

I just had a root canal done 2 weeks ago. It is not finished yet, I go back on Monday for my second appt. The tooth had medicine put into it and a temporary filling. I am still feeling some slight pain in the tooth and some pain in the tooth next to it. Does this sound normal or has anyone else had this problem before?

I am on antibiotics to cure the infection, but cannot afford a dentist should the problem persist when the regimen is completed. My question, can an absess be cured with antibiotics alone and be present when the teeth are healthy? Flossing, brushing with peroxide, might they prevent the abcess from returning? I have medical coverage but no dental, nor can I in the least afford one right now, unfortunately. Please, any advice is more than appreciated. Thanks!

Last week i hit my tooth playing a sport. it cracked in 3 places, but nothing fell off. I had pain and it was loose for the first 2 days and now i have no pain, and the looseness is gradually tightening. I have perfect teeth and i am worried that eventually the cracks would get bigger through time and it would fall off. It is my front tooth. I am going to see several cosmetic dental surgeons, however i would like to know from people who have had this experience before what to do? If necessary should i consider veneers or dental crowns? i have a very nice smile and i am very concerned...

on friday i had the 1st part of a root canal done in a tooth that has a permanent crown on it. the doctor told me i would probably be sore for 2-3 days, but the pain should decrease and not be as bad as before the procedure. on friday and sat i felt horrible and my whole jaw was sore, i presume from the shots and holding my mouth open for 1 1/2 hrs. on sunday i felt better and about noon i suddenly got this pain in my tooth that i can only explain by saying it felt like an electric shock. it lasted only a second, but hurt like hell and made my mouth salivate a lot. afterwards my entire jaw hurt so much i had to take a pain pill. today, its monday and i have noticed my jaw hurts and the tooth hurts just like before the procedure. i go back Dec 11th to have the 2nd part done. is this normal??
