Or is the damage already done once they have been crowded at the front.

(My front teeth are overlapping the tiniest bit because my wisdom teeth have been pushing them forward making them crowded...so my question is...once i get my wisdom teeth taken out, will my teeth start to straighten up again at the front or will it just prevent them from crowding any further...?? thanks in advance....

I'm a big coffee drinker and worry about yellowing. I've only had dentures for 2 years now with no problems so far. I do use the tablets to soak them but wondering if there is something better to keep them from yellowing.

I'm getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow and I think I'm going to have them sedate me. From what I understand, it's not like major surgery anesthesia. Are there any severe risks with the sedation? I've had sedation before when I had an endoscopy, and everything was fine. Is this the same type of sedation?

I have braces, and the last time I had an appointment for cleaning, the dentist aggressively cleaned my teeth. It was the most painful dentist experience of my life. Well, I have to do another routine cleaning soon, and I was wondering, could you request anesthesia for cleaning? Is there any legal or health issues with such a request? This is vital to me because I have black build-up on two teeth, towards my gum, and they appear to be serious. Thanks!

Additionally, there is a small bump on my lower jaw which hurts when I apply pressure. Also, there is a protrusion on the inside of my lower jaw, where my tooth was. My oral surgeon thinks i have an infection caused by food being in my wound. He has prescribed an antibiotic. Does all this make sense?

Like in my Prev question, I work in customer service for a dental lab. I love my job, I love the communication I have with our Dr.s. But I would like to know if there are any websites out there that I could go to that will be benificial to my job, to give our Drs. even more. For example: How can I retain the Dr's. that we have and keep them happy. I feel that they are my employer,,,,must keep Dr and Pts happy its very important!,,,,,

I have been suffering for 2 weeks with this pain, I went to my doctor, thinking it might be a massive ear infection, I can't see anything wrong with my teeth or gums. I am making a dentist appt on Monday, but the pain is traveling around my gums and I can't imagine what it is. Sometimes it seems the pain is coming from under my tongue. Has anyone ever had this happen? I'm afraid it's cancer or something!

I just had 5 teeth pulled 4 days ago. (4 wisdoms and a molar) They still hurt a lot, which I guess is normal? What are they supposed to look like while healing? Mine are pinkish/red around the hole, and the hole is dark black. I know you aren't supposed to feel them w/your tongue, but I did and they feel mucousy(sorry, gross I know)How long til they are no longer black? Will they be all pink after they heal?

Last night I smashed the front of my mouthand scrapped a huge part of my gum above my incisors off which bled for AGES.... now my rleft incisor is very sore but not loose. Can anyone tell me if it's going to fall out? I haven't been able to use it to bite off food as it's so sore and I'm nervous it might crack.

everytime I close my mouth I bite my cheek. I have one wisdom tooth above it and the one under it is coming in. What can I do to deal with the pain until I can find out what my dental covers?

Also is it possible that the dentist (upon my request) will only pull the ONE tooth that is bothering me so I don't miss work? I can't afford to miss any work, money is too tight, we struggle if I miss ONE HOUR!

Due to an unfortunate incident, I lost my upper right incisor. A few months ago, I got an implant (I'm still waiting for the crown). My upper left front tooth has a little chip that's been fixed with bonding but overall, my teeth are a little discolored. With the new implant, I'm going to have to get whitening done but with the bonding material, it just seems so much to have to make sure all my front teeth would be the same shade. I'm 19 and I'm thinking of getting three veneers ---- for my upper left incisor and my two front teeth. With that, all my four front teeth would match.

Does anyone have an opinion on this? Should I do it or am I too young? Does it seem like a good idea?

*I know I should speak to my dentist but I just want to hear other people's opinions too.

and the tooth has been abcessed...and now when I eat, I find little pieces of the tooth coming out. 4 small pieces so far in the past couple days. The tooth is mostly a dark brown or black color.
Why are there pieces of the tooth and/or filling coming out?
It doesn't hurt either.
