Or is the damage already done once they have been crowded at the front.

(My front teeth are overlapping the tiniest bit because my wisdom teeth have been pushing them forward making them crowded...so my question is...once i get my wisdom teeth taken out, will my teeth start to straighten up again at the front or will it just prevent them from crowding any further...?? thanks in advance....

Man, EVERYone says "wisdom teeth crowd the others" and in dental school the party line was that this doesn't happen. But it's like all the UFO sightings...if enough people make the claim, you begin to wonder!

(the other one that keeps me scratching my head is the "My teeth were fine till I had two kids; the baby must have sucked the calcium out of my teeth!" don't even get me started..)

Anyway, your teeth generally follow the arch they are in due to light constant pressure from your lips and your tongue. Therefore, IF the wis. teeth are pushing them, if you remove them, your musculature should have a corrective effect.

On the other hand, teeth generally tend to "drift" to the front and the middle, so once there they may want to stay.

Consult an orthodontist, perhaps. Good luck!!

Generally speaking your wisdom teeth will contribute to your teeth being crooked and being pushed forward.......once the wisdom teeth are pulled it will help to straighten them but will not fully correct the situation.....all depends........on the size of your mouth.

I get my teeth taken out in a month. For some reason, I am scared.

My teeth are crooked from it too. I am pretty sure that once the damage is done, then it is done. Sorry.

The damage isn't irreversible, they can staighten out on their own. I had to get my wisdom teeth out because they were growing in at an angle and would push them, so I think doing that would help.

Depends on how much force is being put on your front teeth.

It's possible that your teeth will shift back. Talk to your dentist.
